what a blessing Anna is for you. Too bad we don`t all have a helper with the cooking.

Wow, bless Anna! It must be awesome having help like that, I tried to do the GAPS diet a few years ago for my family and I but it was difficult without support and not knowing what I was doing. It helped out overall with our eating practices and made us wayyy more sensitive to sugars which have stayed reduced, but we've been talking about going for it again recently. I'm really glad to have been following you guys in your journey with it and so glad to see how well everyone's doing!

If you snore be sure to check for sleep apnea. Even if you're not doing the typical apnea startle wake up (typical with obstructive apnea) you can have central apnea where your brain forgets to breathe. My hubby has central apnea & is on O2 as a result. (Just regular O2, not CPAP) It has made a big difference in his energy & lessened his chronic pain. So glad you're feeling better. I've thought about doing GAPS for my issues for a long time & seeing your improvements is encouraging.

My dentist told me just over a week ago no grains no sweeteners and no potatoes for three years and I can remineralise my teeth. Three years is really discouraging! But I am glad you have been doing the gaps diet for your health it makes me feel like I am not the only person making big changes for my health. I love you guys and appreciate all that you share. I have been with you since your first 100 days of growing food challenge. My husband had a car accident July 5th of that year and being laid up for months he got hooked too. We have three girls one baby and two older and they love your channel. Thanks for providing wholesome content for them as well.

Thursday. Although, we're not necessarily expecting the GAPS to heal my Liver (we went off all supplements for that). But, it can't hurt the liver, right?
@tracycollins52726 жыл бұрын
The Beautiful Life Exactly I hope. You have inspired me to do the same! There’s not a cure for my liver but taking the load off of it by growing my own food, lowering all toxic loads and easing our guts has to help. At the very least maybe stop the progression of the damage. I really thank you Rebekah. I couldn’t get real answers from any doctor so you are doing a powerful thing in my case.

Happy that Justin said he did not feel deprived. I don't think my husband would be 100 percent. I go back and forth on this diet which I am sure is not good. I am back to being sick. Doctors don't have a diagnosis for me yet. But, I am sticking to mostly the soup because I can have it and not be sick. Thank you for sharing all of this.

This diet reminds me of the diet You go on when you have bariatric surgery. I did it in an effort to aid my out of control diabetes. I only had to fast a few days before My surgery, where others had to fast for weeks. After the surgery we have to keep on a liquid diet while the stomach pouch heals. You start craving food that you can CHEW.

GOD BLESS YOU 🙏🏽 Amen 😇 you look enjoying this beautiful diet and you have light in your eyes and smile ✨♥️ Keep being positive every day, wake up every morning and smile, keep up with nature 🌻☀️ and always remember to talk your "bad thoughts" with someone... Express them. Will make you feel better and realise that maybe it's not that "big" problem ✨ stay positive ♥️ xoxo, Marios

Thanks, you guys, for taking us along on The Gaps Diet journey! Very interesting and I really hope it solves your health issues. I've been struggling with lyme co-infections for yrs. Got skilled oriental medicine doctor on my team now. I'm excited about the Buteyko Method of breathing (often used for top athletic performance)... but training oneself to breath LESS (believe it or not!) and breath from the nose (very basically explained)... there are tons of YT videos by various practitioners... Patrick McKeown works with children. He explains why it's so important for children to be taught how to breath correctly from the get-go to avoid dental issues (among other things)... if you check it out, let us know what you think... makes a lot of sense! Thanks for the great videos Rebecca and Justin!

I would love to have normal stools again, same for my husband ;-) I have gardened since the early 70s, no pesticides, raise my own chickens, bees, eat clean and yet my hormones were almost non existent according to my Endo. I've been on the SCD (specific carbohydrate diet) which is almost the exact full GAPS diet - for 8 years. Look into the glucomannan powder and glucomannan noodles. Zero carbs, zero calories, all fiber. Glucomannan powder thickens like crazy. I make perfect gravy, white sauce, and other things with it. The noodles, especially the thin, flat ones are GREAT for stir fry, soups, and other dishes where there's a lot of sauce and flavors. I always bought my noodles and powder online from konjacfoods, but the last time it took a long time and I needed to get paypal involved before I got my order delivered. I hope it was just a one-time thing because they have the best prices.

I love Weston Price, and agree with most of his approach. The one thing I could not understand was the cod liver oil supplementation. The liver is the organ that takes up toxic substances. It makes sense that it would be more harmful to ingeste cod liver oil. I learned this the hard way many years ago when I started taking cod liver oil. I had an adjuvant reaction and cod liver was the only supplement I was taking. Flax seed supplementation would be a safer option. Have you ever looked in to Johanna Budwig protocol? She was nominated for a noble peace prize, I think more then 7 times. Her work with cancer is amazing!

You look sooooo much better...and thin.....are you eating enough? Also, doctors are not good about asking HOW you sleep so they don't pick up on sleep apnea. If you are sawing wood and waking up suddenly during the night, it might be a goid thing to visit a sleep clinic overnight to find out whether or not you need some help in that area. I was tested in '89 and have had a CPAP machine ever since. It's made a world of difference.
