Thank you for this. My cousin died in 2019 at 29 from effects from drugs and alcohol after he got clean. His doctors said he had less than two years left and they were right. Liver, kidneys, pancreas. He's the second cousin I lost due to drugs (opiates), and your video was exactly what I was looking for. I am a botany major and sometimes I just need to understand the biology of what happened to my cousins' bodies.

amylase converts starch and glycogen to simple sugars. 4:17 He said Amylase and lipase "chew up fat and the meat". Lipase does digest fat, but protease is the one that "chews up meat". Sorry I can't take him serious now.

If opioids cause pancreatitis, why do they give you opioids for pain when you have pancreatitis.

Opiate use has no correlation to pancreatitis. Alcohol yes, poor diet, yes, smoking, yes. Opiate use has nothing to do with pancreatitis. All credibility lost.

He also said amylase digests meat..... well i assume he knew lipase is the enzyme for fats, but who knows.
