I see this as an allegory for life. You become an adult- things get thrown at you left and right and if you're lucky, you meet another person who is also just trying to survive, then you overcoming the unknown together and sacrifice everything to have children. But that's my interpretation- I know Noah is a family man. I also wish I knew where to meet a wife ha. I pray every morning to meet someone great. I have the baby bug.

I think this video is just supposed to show the struggles we deal with in life. So you watch the one person struggle alone for a while until at some point finding their mate who has struggled with similar issues and they sorta help each other out and fight the struggle together, end eventually bring a child into the world, bringing them happiness. I've heard Noah and read about how Noah's dealt with depression throughout his life and how having children has helped him a lot, because he focuses less on himself, and is more concerned about raising happy healthy kids, rather than being stuck in his mind being overly introspective.

If I was going to interpret it, I'd say it was a metaphor of "being affected by something and trying to live with it." The main character (Be it Noah himself or just someone with similar features) is affected by the plant-thingy. It changes him and he panics a bit at first, but then he just sort of acknowledges it and continues to go on with it still lingering. Then he happens upon someone else who is experiencing the same thing and decides to help him out. Sort of like a: "Hey, I've been there too. Let me help you out." From that shared experience, the two become chums and go on together and repeat the process.

They/ we are part of the earth, as demonstrated by the fungi, and early evolutionary beings, the simple organisms which make up much of the world we live in. At first being confused with the idea of self and individuality and the encompassing force which we are all a part of. we could call it, letting go or giving in, however we are as much of it as it is as much as us. this and that.

You live your life and then life throws all these things at you. You panick, afraid that it will hold you back. But you move on and after a while realise you're still fine. Then you meet someone, who too, get thrown things at him and experiences anxieties. Then you decide to become part of each others life and share the things life throws at you. And then someday you decide that you want to continue the circle, and add a new life to this existence.

A visual representation of an acid trip. The first person is originally overwhelmed by the sensations, but learns to control them after some time. Later in the journey, they discover someone else in the same ordeal. Using their newfound knowledge they help guide the overwhelmed newbie, and proceed to enjoy their own journeys together. They discover others in the same original state together, and the cycle continues as they act as a mentoring community. My interpretation.
@UndeadDragonWarrior6 жыл бұрын
That is surface level, question is, what is this relating to on a real life scale? I don't think this s a control deal, but a 'tolerating' situation, because they present no real control over it, and the visuals relapse when the greenie runs into another person, Yellowie, with the same fate. I think these are actual physical feelings they cannot control, for instance: Tingly arms & legs (see both), weighted legs (blobs), squirming feeling (tentacles), mental clouds, disorientation, and feeling of unease around themselves. So two thirds through the Greenie, loses all the visuals, as if its gone, looking at their hand thinking this same thing, and only relapsed when running into Yellowie, in which it resurfaced, and of course teaching to get through it. Thing is it's worse than before now, and it was completely present until the child. At that point it all dissipated, poof, with the only focus on the child, and a walk on the beach, to that green groggy field is past them. Now I want to say this is drugs, but this is a stretch, for only one reason: No presented Relapse, just the sensations. Not sure what it's relating to but who knows. It is something someone makes a mistake, runs from, deals with the consequences, moves on and helps someone in the same shoes. They deal with the consequences, feeling the fallout, until a child enters their life, and they are well . . . Saved. I'm really tired . . .

Reminds me of that weird feeling when you're tripping on shrooms or acid where you feel like something scary has a hold of you, and you fight it for a minute-- until you realize that it's all inside your mind and you're lucid dream-walking in reality... and suddenly it's not scary at all, it's just really fun. And then you see someone else trippin out, panicking, and you help them chill into their high. And then you spot someone really new to drugs who's maybe in over their head, really struggling, maybe even in danger, and you help them out. To me, this song is about the brotherhood of drugs and how you should relax, have fun, master your mind, and help others do the same. Not everyone has the ability to relax on drugs; it takes friends with more experience to help you have fun with it.

I saw this as how trauma (ptsd) effects a person and changes their way of life but they learn to live with it. something like that, no matter how small (they only trapped a hand), can effect you deeply. the part where the character meets another person trapped in an anemone and makes contact with them, causing their symptoms to flare up again, is realistic in how surrounding yourself with people who have gone through similar traumas can trigger previous behaviors or ways of thinking that youve learned/are still learning to cope with. i watch this video every once in a while and it gives me hope when i see the new family heal and make it out of that place together.

"Boys Latin" is a marvel of choir voices to behold IMHO! "Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper" sounds hauntingly enough in its own right, but it is really a religious epiphany from Noah's boyhood that really makes the difference here. A little-known side note about Panda Bear is that Lennox has also stated in interviews that he enjoyed drawing a lot as a teenager, especially pandas, and later started drawing pandas on his early mixtapes. He also studied piano until he was eight, then cello, and later on he sang tenor in his high school chamber choir. Though he and his family have never been very religious, Lennox briefly attended Boston University, where he majored in religion because of his interest in "the concept of God". This music brings about a spiritual feel to me of course, and I think you'll have a heavenly epiphany as well with this LP. Hope that you do! Panda Bear is an American musician, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and co-founding member of the band Animal Collective. In addition to his work with that group, Lennox has released six solo LPs since 1999, with his influential 2007 album "Person Pitch" inspiring numerous soundalike acts. His subsequent albums "Tomboy (2011)", and "Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper (2015)". If you're as familiar with Panda Bears as most of his fans truly are, you'll know his legendary sound, approximating that of the Beach Boys (but not quite). You see Panda Bear has a far more psychedelic electronic approach with harmonies that are wired more than submerged in reverb. This completely changes the dynamics of his music, when compared to anything from the 60s as well. You've really got to hear this for yourself my friends. Pax and love all around, Murf

This video is the perfect line between intriguing and disturbing, I’ve watched it repeatedly, creeped out every time, but can’t look away either - the animation matches the music seamlessly. This is the first time I noticed that the first character is supposed to be a female, which changed the whole way I interpreted the video after that. Each time I look for meaning, at the same time that I don’t really need it to have any - but it seems to be conveying some kind of message; everything is familiar and alien at once; metaphorical and literal at once.

What I got out of it was that through the journey of life you'll encounter troubling things and sometimes it's really hard to get over it ( all the weird shapes attached to him). Finally he becomes stronger and is able to help the next guy with his problems even taking some of his just to make it easier for his new friend. At the end they meet someone completely devoured by their issues and it seems like theirs nothing they can do but they work together to save him. And now they're strong enough to face life together.

I felt hipster "I knew him first" for a second but realized I found one of my other favorite bands from Toonami Midnight Run way back when they originally played some Gorillaz videos. So if people find him thanks to that, that's totally great. Those AS guys have impeccable taste in music.

When I heard this song, I froze and quit my business. I closed my eyes and saw the jungle, the leaves in them were wet. The jungles were like gates, they were like an entrance to paradise, if you like, the sun shone there, and far away stood a purple-pink mountain. This is a wonderful piece of music! I haven't heard something like this in a long time. I thank the creator!

To me it is like the first guy tried something weird (a possible metaphor for drugs) and is experiencing a very scary reaction and while trying to recover he finds another individual who has tried more of the weird thing and knowing what the scary trip is like he tries to help the 2nd guy before it gets worse and since the 2nd guy was a bit deeper into the hole than the first guy his trip is worse. Then they find the 3rd guy who is already above his head in the hole and it is too late to save him. The hole seems like a metaphor for a deep pit you find yourself in when you do drugs. Sometimes you can be saved before it gets worse and other times it is too late for people who have sunken too deep in that hole. Then there is little to no hope to getting out.

Or perhaps it wasnt about trying something weird, but rather the first guy was actually a GIRL and she finds her love who was deep into the weird psyjelly/shroom/lsd thingalready and thats was how they got connected and finally find their child from the jellyshroom again LOL ~The End.

Okay so i ran into this while on acid and i balled my eyes out. My interpretation of this was that it was a metaphor about sex. The girl willingly tried to touch the subject and enjoys it at first, but the subject wants more and it scares her away. She now realises that this subject has made changes to her body and emotions that she had no previous understanding of and now has to deal with. She deals with it for a while but eventually comes to terms with the changes and learns to control them. She now has her freedom back and chooses to enjoy the view, but happens to notice someone who has fallen deeper into the subject than she had. Perhaps he liked sex a bit too much and it got him stuck in a predicament. Regardless, she helps him up an notices he too is going through these physical and emotional changes, as her emotions too activate from recalling her experience. He struggles to deal with these changes a bit more, but more noticeably is that these emotions seem to want to take him towards her. They both more or less fight the emotions but they cant outrun these feelings. The emotions show them how compatible they are, as if preforming a dance. Finally they both accept their feelings for each other and wonder the world together. Now that they both have each other they tackle the subject that put them in this position, but this time with someone they love and trust. They can finally experience sex as its meant to be, eventually resulting in a child. I cried because i felt the message was. Sex is fun and its everywhere, but only with someone you love can you overcome fear and trauma. Sex is an act sacred to Love.

They looked forward to that moment with joy, but without haste, not pining for it, but seeming to have a foretaste of it in their hearts, of which they talked to one another. But when they looked at me with their sweet eyes full of love, when I felt that in their presence my heart, too, became as innocent and just as theirs, the feeling of the fullness of life took my breath away, and I worshipped them in silence. Their children were the children of all, for they all made up one family.

I haven't listened or watch this since 2015 when I was 21 so its funny it just popped up again. Best I can make of it is we all go through our own struggles, or things we deem curses and find others who are cursed and going through struggles, some more engulfed then others, and we just are there to help to pull them out or vice versa depending on what we choose to do or them. That's the importance of others

Took acid for the first time in my life two days ago. I thought that all those psychedelic clips, gifs and pieces of art were inspired by visions. Well. A trip is so deep and powerful that the most frustrating thing is that you won't ever be able to illustrate it to others. It's far beyond everything you can see or hear about it. You don't imagine infinity. You feel it.

This video is great. It really resonated with me and for some odd reason, I feel like I know exactly the message this video is trying to deliver. Young girl wanders the world and comes across a strange creature (drugs), she touches the creature (tries the drug) and she goes into a psychedelic trip. In her trip, the girl comes to the conclusion: we are the earth and the earth is us, everything on earth is us (compassion). She comes back from trip with a greater appreciation for life and all that is within it. She takes a liking to the creature and continues on her travels as a wanderer, an enlightened wanderer. She runs into another wanderer along the way and sees that the wanderer is very involved in the maintaining of his creature. His creature eats at him, there is a look in his eye of shame, "Help...", the look says. She helps him get back on his feet and eventually both of them are able to leave their creatures behind. The travels had brought them closer together and they end up taking a liking to one another. They have a family together at the end and love one another henceforth. Even though they rid their creatures long ago, their was a part in them that was very thankful for the way things happened. Their creatures, had produced the lasting bonds they now shared and they wouldn't have had any other journey. LOVE.

I think its about accepting each other as we are. The main char could be a girl or a boy, it does not matter, but then, he finds the other boy, and they fall in love, have or adopt kids, just like that.
