I love how The point of Mechamaru is displaying the opposite of Makis restriction, reminder that it goes both ways. Nobody else can use Cursed Techniques across such a distance like he can specifically due to his Restriction. It’s basically a restriction pact you can’t choose, but are born into. In some way it’s also (kind of?) a representation of a disabled person in an anime? Which is pretty cool in my opinion!

For the grading system it's important to remember Inumaki and Kamo both have family techniques so the school probably placed them higher by default based on what previous members of their families could do. Megumi is in the same boat but he's a 1st year who's still learning his powers, so he's grade 2.. Todo on the other hand has fully displayed his abilities despite having a unique technique

Fun fact: the throw Yuji used on Todo at 6:38 is a real judo throw called Osoto Gari(Large Outer Reap in english). And overall JJK has very good martial arts and choreography!

Gege Akutami is also one of the authors that really know how to develop their characters well. Nothing much to add. Maybe keep the Heavenly Pact theme in mind, may be a bit confusing at first. Keep up the good work!

An easy way to look at Yuji fighting was that Yuji channeled cursed energy into his fists to hit Todo, Todo said not to channel energy into an area but to allow it to flow through your whole body while you fight

Please dont forget what he said about the heavenly pact. Its really important A heavenly pact is something you are born with and it can go 2 ways: You have high cursed energy but a very fragile body (Mechamaru), or you have no Cursed energy but a lot of physically strenght (Maki)

A “cursed corpse” is not a real corpse (strictly speaking, it can be made from a corpse). In Japanese, “cursed corpse” is written “Ju-gai/呪骸”. This is a word coined by the author. 呪 = curse 骸 = corpse, body, rotting tree trunk I think the translation is “cursed corpse” because it means something like the above. I won't go into details about the cursed corpse or the identity of the panda because it would be a spoiler, The term “cursed corpse” is simply a generic term for inanimate objects that have the power of a curse and can move of their own volition. So it is easiest to understand if you think of something like the stuffed animals that the Rector used to make.

You should also note that grades do not always determine strength of the person(all special grades are one-man army tho).
