6:04 Actually a useful combo in some niche corner situations. It also has some variations that give it some mixup potential as well. If your opponent is cornered and you think they will jump you can neut jump and hit em with this. If you think they will push a button or wake up dp, you can jump back then fwd air dash ex tatsu and confirm ultra if it hits. If they neutral jump on wake up while cornered you can light dp while their in air and get this combo as a follow up. Oni has lots of unexplored tech

I like to think that these trials are well... Challenges. They don't need to be pratical for using in real fights, just need to challenge the player for completion.

I like to think they also show you what's possible. Sure you'll prolly never use that particular combo, but knowing you can double shoryu, use air demon, and link a shoryu into a demon are all ideas you might use.

@@blyat8832 yea, light punches on the ground, press upfoward, wait just lobg enough to get airborne, then finish the input. If you practice this you can get it really low off the ground allowing you to combo into it in some surprising situations

@@blyat8832 an easy way to learn is to hold forward during the fp fp and roll to upforward before inputting lk hp And one more trick, the 3 punches input counts as lp as well, so you can do 3p lp 6 lk hp without double tapping lp, effectively allowing you to "plink" the whole input very fast. Also any special that uses Lp will count that lp as the first lp in demon. So for the air fireball combo into demon you can do qcb lp lp 6 lk hp and the demon will instantly cancel from airfireball, whether it hits or not. This works with grounded light fireball as well (sanford vs toiboi). If someone focuses the first hit of lp srk, and you input demon this way, it will catch them (which makes people lose their shit).

I've been watching Panda for a solid year, love me some JW, Punk, and Kizzie (who I watch separately quite a bit), when Kizzie said to Demon that subscribe, lemme tell you, I got a bit of a smile and raging demon'd the subscribe button like my life depended on it, new screen time, definitely worth it. Thanks everyone at Panda for the great content and great community you bring to the whole of the FGC, thinking hard about it I remember watching RoA awhile ago, like 2017 frostbite (I'm bad with years, I'm 20 but bad with years) after seeing one of the Panda players pop off at this side event (I watched pro smash at the time) I remember the org catching my eye, so much that I bought RoA and the dlcs that night on steam. I started watching Punk for sfv content and thought Panda would be good for him, I'm glad it has been, seeing collabs with him got me watching Kizzie for GGST which made me start watching the whole channel consistently for everyone regardless of if it fit my game at the time or not, I've learned an incredible amount from watching all of the players as well, I hope to see everyone at my first EVO where I'll be competing at my first fgc event, I've had a barcode name for a bit but I hit celestial in a week of picking ggst on the day I played ranked, with Potemkin, it demotivated me because of the ease (I have no interest in bad players so I just step back and wait for communities to grow) but after Baiken got released I picked the game up and sit as a Celestial Baiken, Panda largely kept me interested through content and I wouldn't have decided to stick to a goal like playing at EVO without the whole group inspiring me to be better as I near their competitive level in Ladder Play. I'd love to play against everyone here for the experience and knowledge, I look forward to the eventual chance! take this as an ad read for Panda, they sold it well as a whole org, staff and players alike.
