The thunderbirds boardgame it's pretty much a Pandemic one. It shares similarities, although it's way weirder. Of course, the game is not about cubes so it's not just a Pandemic retheme. You finish misions or you don't, moving vehicles and members around the world or space to do so. I like it. And it's from the same designer, Matt Leacock.

I second the recommendation of the Thunderbirds game. Interesting use of pick up and deliver as a luck mitigation mechanism - the more of the right stuff you get to a rescue, the more likely you are to succeed on each attempt, and every attempt costs an action and gives The Hood an opportunity to advance his schemes.

Modiphius made a thunderbirds themed board game it was even designed by matt leacock. Its a few years old at this stage but came out after pandemic you can see basic pandemic mechanics aswell as newer / later pandemic games in its DNA. Its a really good game actually

I've seen so many different Pandemic games, I get lost easily. Haha.. This one looks stressful (and they do love to do that to us, don't they?) but it seems like it would be lots of fun to play. I only have the original Pandemic in my collection though I am so tempted to get this version. Awesome job as always Rodney. One of these days I hope to get to a convention close enough (I live in Montreal) to be able to meet you. :D

I love me some Pandemic but my experiences with real time board games is just messy, it really needs someone to just basically track the clock or people will keep playing over it and just ends up in case with players tossing their dice way too fast knocking things over in order to beat the clock. Also, this game reminds me of the digital board game: Tharsis

Yeah, real-time is a real draw for some, and not for others. Glad the video helped you discover it if it might a good fit for you or not.

Nice game, but playing against time will not fit for all people. I like not to be in a hurry, but think about what to do in calm atmosphere and work together with others. So we changed rules - first to roll and play dice simultaneously all players and discuss about what to do, and to play not against time, but make certain number of turns depends on difficulty before adding next city. This works better for us.

Hmmm... This looks like it should be the third game in Kane Klenko's FUSE and Flatline series, but it looks like Z-Man got hold of it and slapped a Pandemic label on it. I saw this in the store and was thinking about getting it but my only worry is if this would be too hard for two players. Usually I just play board games with my girlfriend and now I’ve been looking for one that requires us to work together. I avoid reviews, so I can't really answer that for you. The fun will be different for different players. If you don't like games with a time pressure component, then this might not be for you.

I would say no, there really isn't any way to lose by just waste, as you can't lose by waste as long as you keep it so that there is enough room in the plant to hold all the waste you could make by one room use. Waste + trying to rush to get things done means there is a chance someone doesn't catch that you are close to being full on waste or that you might hold recycling off till after you get that drop, causing a bit of a risk/reward things to come up.
