As a woodworker/hobbyist that undulating/uneven chamfer on the cutting board looked interesting. I have preferred a rounded edge for my own furniture and of course I have always made it just even and straight (with a router), but your implementation gave me new ideas that maybe a table top or shelf does not need to be even on the edges and that slight undulation might give it more character! So, not really on topic, but thanks!

Hi and warm greetings from Finland. Our situation is getting better but still there is reason to be careful. After spending 3 months almost in the middle of nowhere in summer cottage among trees and birds, just working in the garden, it was so refreshing to come back to Helsinki and see almost normal city and see people going to cafes and shopping. . You really start valuing everyday life that has been taken away for awhile. Summer is amazing, green and fresh and my favourite month , August is near. Forests are exceptionally full of wild berries, it is like some kind of compensation....wish you all the best and hope you have a chance to visit Finland again.

I have also been doing some of the things you are saying to to just be and do nothing sometimes. And also to use my mind creatively by cooking and painting. I have started to do yoga and meditate too. I have not shared this with many people, and here it goes onto the internet, but I feel like this us a safe environment so thank you. I hope that in the future we, as humanity and in our society, get to take breaks often and have moments to just be and not work or do anything for some parts of our day.

This message really touched my heart! I am a Finnish introvert guy living in extroverted society in America. I have a lot of anxiety that I have told in my Facebook. Typically no response there... Looks I am different. I was just creating my strategy got out of my problems. BTW America is really a divided country, That is a thing I appreciate Finland. Anyway, I see a lot of positive and I hope I will live my future life in USA.

@Wildwood Vagabond. Unfortunately the world sometimes becomes just a bigger version of school bullying. Different than most / some = "insane" = bully them. So it's very good to take time for your self and enjoy life without negative opinions👍. PS. When did you learn to play guitar?? That's something I haven't seen you doing yet. Also Maybe the positive and healthy thinking and zen attitude is, what keeps you looking young pretty and healthy. So keep doing that and then you inspire others to do that too!! I always love feeling the vibes you impart in your vids. You're such a beautiful person - inside and out. I'm also feeling serene about COVID-19, as I view it as Nature giving us humans a gentle warning that IT's still in control and that it WILL intervene if we don't start behaving responsibly with what it's given us. The earth's resources - land, clean air and water, housing, civil liberties, intelligence, peace, etc. are PRIVILEGES to us and they're NOT in unlimited supply. As such, they'll continue to diminish unless we start being modest and living within our means. Nature's been controlling the populations of species of overpopulating animals for millions of years with famine and disease. COVID-19 is no exception. It's affording mercy to the environment and surviving members of the human population. We shouldn't be fighting it - we should be embracing it. Ideally, we'd control OUR OWN populations by lowering birthrates so nature wouldn't be forced to intervene with disease and death. Unfortunately, human civilization isn't evolved enough to do that, yet.

Hei Rachel! For me 2020 hasn't been much different from 2019. Except when going to shopping there are these social distancing rules. But that's about the only difference. People here don't use face masks, so COVID-19 pandemia isn't so visible. But in the news sure, I see how this has caused big problems in different places, and here domestically it's been a problem to many businesses and people have hard time getting jobs. Pandemias are bad, but I think governments made it even worse. Here in Europe things are getting slowly back to normal now though. Congratulations quitting Facebook! I've never been in Facebook, Instagram or Twitter or in these big social media sites. For me the reason is because I've been professionally administrating IT networks, and have been following espionage and information security issues for over two decades, and I hate the global espionage and information gathering businesses that some countries have their agencies heavily invested in. And I haven't had a TV for over a decade either. So I'm pretty much free of these daily media attacks, manipulation of peoples' opinions and social media infighting. Yeah, I've been in KZbin since very early, much before Google (a company I hate with passion) bought it, so this is the social media I do follow. I'm watching alternative news reports though, not those big TV network news that are just filled with lies and where they have same narrative in Euro-American news. If people feel anxious or depressed, I think taking leave of media would be a good idea. Put away those smart phones and tablets. You're doing these artesan works, I think that is a very good hobby. And you have the dogs. 2020 has been worse for people who live in urban small apartments and whose social life was around cafes, bars, concerts and social events. I hope we learn lessons from this year. Maybe we learn about free speech and tyranny, maybe to prepare for pandemias and how health care should operate and be available, maybe we learn about social networks or we have taken more care of people near us. Some of these lessons may be good in the end. There may be a silver lining with this dark cloud as well 🌥. It's dark and difficult times that force societies into positive changes. 👍👍👍 Never feel pressure to make another video. That's a trap many KZbin content creators fall into.

Aurinkohirvi Thank you for your wise words. I appreciate it. I agree with you too. Much needed change will come from all of this. It’s a rough time but that is many times what is needed to bring change. Lots of love from Texas ❤️

Since you released this vid I've been trying to determine WHAT it is about its cover shot that keeps drawing me in - despite my best efforts to ignore it! I just figured it out! You're looking at (me) with such absolute, unwavering confidence, as if KNOWING (I'm) about to pull that mask down and KISS you! You clearly have no opinion about that one way or another but are resigned to the fact that it IS going to happen! Remarkably, even after all these days, you're still confident as ever (I'm) going to do it! :oD
