Splitsie has some good videos on projectors. The side with the 4 marks is the top, and the two marks is the side that projects.

Go to your info tab and 'Show grid pivot'. That will show you the grids pivot point. It's determined by the first block placed. Armor blocks are unreliable, use something like a landing gear (OR A PROJECTOR) as your starting block since they have a defined orientation. P.S. If you paste a grid onto another grid, it will inherit the pivot point of the grid you are pasting onto. P.S.S. The '+' is the top and the line is the front.

Please read TminusDooms post. He is right, and I use projections over 1K long for automated drilling of geothermal wells.

The blueprint start point is determined by the block you are pointed towards at the moment you blueprint the grid. The paste surface will be the face of the block you copy, cut or blueprint the grid while pointed towards it. In other words where your aim point is on the grid. Please let me know, if that made sense.

the way i understand it is ... the starting point is the block part your crosshairs was looking at wen you made the blue print .. when you use that blue print in a projector the start point is the block your cross hairs was lookin at wen the blue print was made;.. thats my understanding of it

You have to calm down. Just take a deep breath, put out your smoke, have a sip of something, crack your knuckles, give your pants an adjustment, and then slowly position yourself in front of the face on the very block you want. Put the crosshairs on the face, hesitate for 2 seconds, contemplate your feelings, pick your nose, and then press ctrl+b. You can always replace the screenshot if you want a better angle without changing the start point. :) Hope that helps. Also your control seat is sideways, never tested that before, but it seems the rotation is all outa whack with your orientation. P.S. Did you leave Poly Bridge on in the background?🎵🎶

@@TminusDoom 24:00 he bps from the middle. But yeah that is weird at five minutes. Maybe it doesn't completely refresh properly if the grid name is the same and the blueprint isn't removed and re added. I have played 6000 hours and never had that issue myself. I make all kinds of ship printers, missile printers, and never struggled with projectors at all like that.
