You can turn the door upside down, then it will not be lopsided. Large Small grid storage has the same space as a large grid small container. Turbines are affected by weather, low wind low power. Make a battery, small one will do. For optimal placement turbines need to be at least 6 squares away from a voxel or a construct, you can even make them underground with enough clearance.

A connector outside is needed. Also, an easy way to keep your precious air, is to make the airlock with 2 vents, 1 between the 2 doors on constant depresurization and the other one inside the building pumping the air back in. Just make sure that your doors are not both open at the same time.

for space saving in locations where space is at a premium, use the Rotary Airlock which will allow you to Come & Go while keeping your atmosphere inside where it belongs. for optimum power generation via Wind Turbines, space the towers no less than 10 blocks apart and at least 8 blocks tall to the 4 way arms. power storage is critical to harness the power you get when storms roar. a second Air Vent set to depressurize will pull the O2 from the atmosphere outside to keep your interior pressurized without burning through your limited ice supplies. turning off a Rotor or hinge will not cause power issues with downstream blocks.

Yeah interior wall does cost less to produce than a light armor block about 3 times less than light block Also do you agree with me when I say that large grid storage shouldn't require metal grids

On a separate note did you know that the unknown signal may carry stuff from the eat sleep repeat mod and associated mod. It was the same with daily needs mod... So it's good to have it on at the beginning.

Once you have both Mars and space station serie done may I suggest something.. Build a big@$$ large ship one that could carry both a large grid ship and a few small grid ship. Once the main ship is build you go and colonized the other planet and moon by building a settlement with all the the survival necessities on each using the large ship you carry within to go down on planet/moon. So what you think?

Consider rotating the hatch block to underneath the door and let it extend outside. Then put a ramp block or stairs in front of it to conceal it and let the door open up/down

So far for me unknown signals are only dropping food and drinks no seeds. Unless you need to have the hydroponics built already.
