My friend and I painted these friends last night. My cat's eyes turned out waaay too big and he looks like he's on an acid trip but hey...we had SO MUCH FUN! I am calling mine "Samu and the Itsy BItsy Spider" because my black cat has a little black spider friend she chases around my apartment. Thanks for the great tutorial! K

This is a great tutorial for beginners (and probably everyone but we are all beginners!) There were 6 of us ranging in age from 13-87 and we had a blast!!! Super easy to follow, and we were able to customize the colors!!

I must try this. I was painting with my niece last weekend and just playing around not knowing what to do. Ended up with green and yellow strips after a rainbow of colors then saw this painting so rounded off the green and added the fence lol. Now to add my cat. Love this. Just need to skip ahead. I painted one time a year ago. Very basic. I made this painting as my very 1st painting. I did it for my husband because he is a painter. Was very simple to follow. Which was important since I am very mathematical and have trouble getting out of the box. Very enjoyable and plan on doing more.

I am loving these videos Jane. I haven't painted anything yet. I have to get the supplies. I wish there was some type of beginner kit available. Something that included basic brushes and most used paint colors! Also, I don't have an easel.

Thank you!!! You can buy starter kits of paint that have tons of colors. Also, just pick up a value pack of a few types of brushes and see what you like best. Once you start getting the feel for the kinds of brushes and paint you like, you can expand from there.
