PANDESAL ala ABC

Ingredients:
500g bread flour
100g white sugar
1 tsp. salt
1.5 tsp. dry active yeast
2 tbsp. powdered milk
50g butter or margarine
1 egg
220ml warm water
filling of your choice (adobo, corned beef, cheese, chocolate, peanut butter)
fine bread crumbs
Procedure:
1. Measure all ingredients precisely.
2. Sift bread flour.
3. Place all dry ingredients on your working surface/bowl.
4. Combine all dry ingredients using a dough scraper and make well at the
center.
5. Combine egg and warm water. Stir with fork and slowly pour into dry well.
6. Knead! Masa na, besh!
7. Add butter (fat) little by little.
8. Oil bowl with butter, place dough and cover. Let rise for 1.5 hours on warm
surface (ibabaw ng ref).
9. Deflate. Itaob ang dough sa surface & punch down para matanggal ang air.
10. Weigh dough & decide on weight per ball or ilan ang yield (o piraso) na
gusto mo.
11. Cut and scale each ball.
12. Bench. Bangkuin ang dough. Let them sit para makapahinga, bago bilugin.
Para di magresist.
13. Shape and stuff (if feel mo maglagay ng filling).
14. Roll onto bread crumbs.
15. Proof or do second rising on the pan for 30-45 minutes. Cover para di
magdry out.
16. Pre-heat oven for 10-15 minutes at 350F.
17. Bake for 15-18 minutes (depende sa dami at laki ng pandesal!). Baligtarin
ang trays half way through the baking time.
18. Cool.
19. Enjoy warm with your favourite palaman.
