Since 1977, I have been the admirer of The Great Artist who's Sitar and Sur bahar are the best in class. His music has always been my companion while concentrating on studies and research.

I hope someone can upload Pandit Budhaditya's video of raag raageshwari in which Shubhankar Banerjee plays tabla. I always listened to this live performance, and one day it was gone. I don't know why it was removed. Someone please reload. Thanks,

Wish the tabla player would've come in sooner & not just towards the end. :-/

Gaat comes after alaap jod and jhala. Tabla joins when any composition is played based on the raag. What you heard with out tabla is the elaboration of the raag where there’s no limitation or constraint and the player has the full freedom to play with raag and dive deep into the depths of the raag. But when gaat or composition is played you have to play with in the limitations and boundaries of the composition only.
