I've been using this camera since the day it came out. Just stumbled on this video over coffee and actually got some helpful tips. First time the diopter changed while in my bag, I was en route to LAX for a flight and had a panic attack that my camera had broken. Grabbed a cab and raced to a Samy's Camera thinking the worst...two minutes later had gaff tape on that thing and haven't removed it since. Great tips.

Also, the eye piece falls off often. A little super glue, just a tiny drop, and the new one will stay in place.

The diopter changing is disconcerting or annoying at best.. but still my favourite camera.. anyway thanks for leaving a message. Good luck to you !

JJC also make a slightly bigger, more cup-like eyepiece that is better for people like me who wear glasses. I lost the original eyepiece last week near London Bridge but the JJC ones were delivered 24 hours after ordering. I also lost the original PC cover and FUJI UK were brilliant and found me a new one. I have to say, the Fuji UK after-sales customer care is outstanding. Can't praise them enough. I have added a soft-release button as I like the feel, a leather half-case at a fraction of the cost of the official Fuji one and a LensMate Thumb Grip which I love. By the way, this is a really nice, no-frills video. Thanks for posting Roland.

Thanks Roland, it's always extremely interesting to see how other people use this camera. In fact, I have that mouldable glue stuff arriving in the post shortly, although it does seem a fairly drastic step if you are considering part ex'ing the camera in the future! I think I'll give it a shot though. Thanks again.

Thanks, though I think I will use this Camera until it's dead, and hopefully by then completely outdated

I also blobbed some onto the shutter button too. Thank you for your killer tip Roland, but I'm now desperately running around the house looking for things to fix using the remaining 99.9% of the Sugru!
@pandoraefretum7 жыл бұрын
seal it and keep it cold / put it in the fridge... then it will hopefully keep a while.

Hi Rowland, Me again! Just wanted to say that over the last few weeks your Sugru tip has transformed my use of the XP2, as I now use two buttons that were previously useless - thank you!

Turns out Sugru comes from Ireland ; anyway, it's a top tip (not my idea originally) and worked for me too !!

They are not cheap, and another thing to note is they fit original batteries very well, but 3rd party batteries are a slightly smaller size... so they fit those too but a little loose I really like the covers
