This game was honestly a blind sided best of 2018 game for me, I did not expect it to be as amazing as it is. The soundtrack, beautiful. The theme and moral compass decisions this game makes you do, outstanding. An amazing addition to the base building survival genre that I will play for years to come. If anyone who's here, reading this, and hasn't played this game. PLAY. IT.

You can't get the "Frostpunk" experience properly outside a game. One of the main components is that the game breaks you down to the point where you are forced into making decisions that, while saving the city, leads it down a road of desperate extremism. It's all by your hand. You can feel the coal running out, the generator about to explode, the dead drop of food income. You feel every degree the temperature drops, the depose being wiped out and the loss of life on the overcrowded infirmaries which may be performing heavy triage by your hand. And you feel the glimmer of chance through the sheer will that keeps it going through intense micromanagement, compensation, and sacrifice.

@@blackbirdredwing8182 Maybe have a frostpunk scenario from the perspective of a young kid who grow up under a brutal dictatorial leader. The kid grows up but is still naive. Then leads a revolution to overthrow that leader only to seem themself become that brutal dictator who is faced with tough moral decisions every day with no right answers. Like sending a small child to fix the generator because no one else can reach inside it, otherwise the generator dies along with everyone else. The city must survive.

for me this year (so far) 'Frostpunk' and 'Detroit:' Become Human' have the best game ost this year. They didn't win any awards (yet :d), it's just my personal opinion, also this is not a sponsored video, Piotr Musial has also alot of tracks for publisher like audiomachine, that's why i got the chance to upload this (actually i waited for this the day the game was released). Perfectly describes the dark and serious atmosphere of Frostpunk.

Mb games mostly havn't any special music but Frostpunk Has one of the best ones. Depresion, fighting with hunger, cold, and discontent waiting for the end hoping for best. Hard decisions, wich can ruin your work, is creating that climate of depresion and the player himself has his hope bar inside. Best feature in my opinion is that if you have enough skill you can save more people but game becoming real chalange.

I think Far Cry 5 has an amzing OST since it captures the feeling of being in a crazy religious cult and the songs fit so well. Definitely deserves to win an award.

I didn't know frostpunk until now, but the soundtrack is awesome, so I hope I can find a let's play for it (I can't play it myself unfortunately :/) and Detroit become human is the best. Game. I've. Ever. Seen. It has inspired me to first write a short story, and now a longer story based on the short one. And while writing, I always listen to your music playlists 😊

12:50 my favorite part, from the intro of the New Home scenario... when I heard it in game I knew I wanted a stripped version and here it is..! I imagine it could work as a kind of theme song of the engjneer community in the The Arks scenario, who kicked the cold's ass so hard that they completely automated their city in no time and had enough resources to help out neighboring communities... I wish it would play in game when you're on a roll...
