You know who else got moved by this? Ann Wilson. She said that of the first time Floor covered this song back in her days in After Forever, that it was the best cover of the song that she had ever heard, and even got her into listening to Nightwish and wanting to hear more of Floor's catalog. Look up her performances on Beste Zangers. She does Phantom of the Opera (which Nightwish used to perform in concert with their original singer Tarja, look that up too) and she does Shallow and a few others. You WON'T be disappointed.

Beste Zangers is a Dutch show where seven well known Dutch singers gather to sing songs of the guest singer. That's actually a very simplistic explanation. I'm including a link to Floor's first performance on the show where she sings a favorite song of Henk Port and I'm including some discussion between everyone prior to and after her performance. There are subtitles as this is from the Dutch taping, but it will give you a sense of the show format and the interaction of everyone. One note, this is the first time each participant has heard Floor sing, but they do know she is the lead vocalist of a "metal" band, so I think they have some perceived expectations, and their reactions are fun. This is maybe my favorite of Floor's covers. All of them are excellent, but with this song i have some personal history. She has done this a couple of times before, but this is the best version of them. It's mature and powerful, but also quite vulnerable at the same time. The beautiful grand piano is provided by Floor's long time friend and collaborator SIR Joost van den Broek (After forever, Ayreon, ReVamp). ⛄👍

The big tough guys fall first...but never hide your tears, cuz we're all reaching for a tissue! Just yesterday I watched a version of The Poet an the Pendulum that I hadn't seen b4, (you are NOT ready for that song yet, trust me!) Not only her vocal techniques are out of this world but she has the ability to touch people inside with her singing( this cover is way better in my opinion than her cover in her revamp period) you already did ghost love score....a few other gems are epica sancta terra( feauturing floor) phantom of the opera she did with henk poort on beste zangers...btw all her performaces on beste zangers 2019 are top notch( shallow better than gagas original,vilja lied(german)que se siente( spanish)...another great dutch project ayreon she also participated on,the day the world breaks downn is great same as eye of ra,valley of the queens and merlins will( all floor)

This is one of Floor's favorite songs as well, she respects Anne and Nancy a great deal. Floor has lots of covers like this recently. Her channel is FILLED with awesome stuff, including interviews with others in the music industry as well as her vocal covers. You really can't go wrong with any of her stuff. :)

As other's have said it is ok to cry. Their are mutltiple Floor/Nightwish songs that get me in the feels everytime. Another song that makes me cry everytime is Rivers by Epica off their Omega album.

Nightwish and Floor > deepest rabbit hole you can imagine. Thanks to Corona Floor did a lot of cover songs in her studio. Also the "Best Zangers" performances are a must see, where she smashed song like "Shallow" or "Phantom of the Opera". But please do not forget Simone Simons and EPICA ;D. 2nd deep rabbit hole. And Simone was made for ballads. EPICA "Rivers" for ex. And if you want to blow your mind completly - Floor and Simone did some duets togerther: EPICA: "Stabbat Mater Dolores" (classic!) and EPICA "Sancta Terra" live (Retrospect). ;D

Floor, as always, wonderful. Tears are normal. The piano accompanist is Sir Joost Van Den Broek, a former band member of Floors(AfterForever, I think). He is gifted as well. Kudos to Floors husband Hannes, who videos all of her Sweden home studio based covers. Hannes is also the drummer in the band Sabaton. You should react to Sabaton, "Christmas Truce" and hear the vocal during the credits at the end. The video is excellent and true.

Cool Reaction! For the longest time I thought Alone was an original 1987 Heart song. But Heart covered it from the duo, I-Ten. Who originally recorded it in 1983. From the massive success of Heart's version, not even Celine Dion could come close with her version, looks like people love Heart's cover the best. 💜

Diana Ankudinova is 15 years old in this video, singing a cover of Chris Isaak's Wicked Game, giving it a more "tribal" sound. She's a contralto, even at the age of 15, has a unique and otherworldly voice, and a commanding stage presence. She is performing on the Russian TV show You Are Super, a show for disadvantaged children to display their talents that they otherwise would not be able to. Diana (dee-ah-na) was abandoned by her abusive mother at the age 3 and placed in an orphanage, diagnosed with cognitive impairment. Her adoptive mother had her enroll in singing lessons to help with some speech problems due to abuse and neglect. Her singing talent was immediately noticed and the rest, as they say, is history. Just a wee bit of info, Heart's version of this is also a cover and not the original as many people seem to think! They certainly made it famous but they didn't have anything to do with writing the music or the lyrics . You can search Google and get all the information about the history of the song if you want to find out more about it as it's quite interesting!
