I can't think of another female performer to be more potent than Floor. Ann Wilson has a similarly powerful instrument and uses it flawlessly, but looking just at the "whole package", Floor has it all, with compound interest. In this cover she presents herself as the character in the story of the song. She is demure, but not weak; vulnerable but not breakable. The Heart rendition is strong and fun and wonderful. It is somewhat bombastic in a pleasant way. Floor, on the other hand, brings it more quietly (at first anyway), but when the passion comes, it comes on like the hurricane force of such unrequited loved. In your always terrific reaction here the song moved you, and after maybe my hundredth viewing I still got tears at her little cryning embellishments during the chorus. Cheers for reacting to this. There are three of her covers that I can listen to any time they show up ... the Frozen song (not sure of the official title), Adagio, and this masterpiece. Thanks again for reacting as I'd guess most of us have, and giving me a lovely opportunity to watch and listen again.

From the very old Metal rock head here saw Heart many times in the 70’s early eighties. This is more a tribute than a cover because Floor made it her own. I still love Heart Super Thank you for doing this check out Floor’s tribute of Frozen. I’ve shared this version of the Disney song to many grandparents & parents who hated the song because their grandchildren & children played it over and over constantly. Such an amazing cover of such an amazing song! And I absolutely love your reaction! Super Thanks to you! Floor did this song in the same arrangement with het first band After Forever in 2007. It's very cool te hear how her voice has become richer over the years. The pianist is also the same, Joost van den Broek. She also works with him on her solo album and he's the producer and keyboardist for all Ayreon shows and albums, so you've met him already. And yes! Do check out Floor singing the phonebook. She nails that too, but that's no surprise.

This cover is a tribute from the most outstanding female rock singer today to arguably the best female rock singer of all time, Ann Wilson. I-TEN actually wrote this song and sang it originally!! Heart did a cover of it but people always seem to think Heart wrote it, but they just did a cover of it which, to me, is unfair to I-TEN, who never get mentioned!! Anyway, if anyone is interested just Google it for more info. Cheers Ronnie

It was originally written as a duet by Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly, who recorded it under the name i-Ten in 1983. Before Heart turned it into a massive hit, it was also recorded by actors John Stamos and Valerie Stephenson for a short-lived TV show called “Dreams” in 1984. Heart released it in 1987 and it spent 3 weeks at #1 on the charts. Floor is my absolute favorite singer, but Ann Wilson might be second. Floor did an amazing, beautiful rendition, for sure. I still prefer it with a little heavier arrangement, conveying a little more desperation in addition to the loneliness.

The time she did this song on the cruise ship was funny when Marco and Troy were messing with her with the Titanic song joke with the whistle. Floor is fabulous as usual. However, although I like 80s AOR, I've never quite understood the mass appeal of this song; I thought Wait For An Answer from the same record was much better. I don't think even Ann and Nancy like it that much - but they were really 70s hippies shoehorned rather awkwardly into the glamorous pop metal of the 80s.
