Stephanie TheTeacher Hi Stephanie, I understand your point, but I just feel that if I was given a television platform, I'd rather invite activists, smart educated people, communitarian organization, for example, to talk about issues such as racism, gender equality, homophobia, sexuality, etc. I see what Tyra is trying to do, but I just think that if she is trying to show how ridiculous these people are, she should confronted them more, or at least create more of a debate. I love Tyra and the message she is trying to promote, I just think it could be done another way.

Thank you Tyra for bringing this body shaming moment to the for front. This panel and many others like them need a reality check. I'm glad you had them face the women they were judging. They make me sick. I'm so glad they had the chance to face those accusors.

the first lady really offends me because someone in my family is medically unable to work out and it's really hard to lose weight
@lalaland9568 жыл бұрын
sorry to hear that. I gained weight due to medication. I was 125lbs all of my teen and adult life. 2yrs ago I was put on several medications at a time that have weight gain as a side effect. it eventually caused a metabolic syndrome. thankfully I am now off those meds. wish your family member the best.

The heavy blond in the red top, its kinda funny that she is talking about losing weight and giving an example. She is still obese. I suppose in America she is considered healthy, but she is way over weight.
@melissalanger950810 жыл бұрын
She's not considered healthy in America; she's still obese anywhere.

Well this program is aired in America and they keep commenting on how she turned her life around by losing weight?

I'm sure that losing a large amount of weight has made her healthier and feel better but she's still obese.

My mother has muscular dystrophy, what that means is her muscles are very weak and typical everyday exercises like walking and running actually harm her. Those exercises tear down her muscles instead of building them up. She is 40 and can barely go upstairs. And if she does decide to go upstairs she will be sore in the morning bc her muscles can't take it. My mother is on the bigger side and I'm 100% positive that people look at her in public and thinks she's fat or gross just like these people but... What is she supposed to do? She diets and drinks these nasty shakes to stay healthy bc she can't exercise the way regular people do. It bothers me so much bc I think my mom is beautiful and she is doing everything she can to stay healthy but people like these women don't care and judge people who can't help it. Just like the girl with the big nose, what do you want her to do? She was born with that nose, she didn't choose that it just happened to her.

Try researching the HCG detox. It was created for those who are dangerously overweight and really want to be healthy but can't partake in exercise like most people. Since your mom is already working hard to make her diet choices healthy and good for her then it will be such a short skip for her to accomplish a round of HCG. God Bless and I hope she can get better!

Tyra is such a role model bringing people together and starting the conversation about real things that people don't discuss outside their bubble of comfort. Plus she's suscessful, AND a model AND beautiful And she's a woman of Color. How interesting.

I used to slut shame based on what a girl wears and how many guys she's with or what she does sexually until a year and a half ago. That means 14 year old Nicole had a WHOLE lot to learn. I was not as bad as most girls , but that's still not okay. I used to have small boobs and a butt and I was insecure. So one day my friend Jen (who I look up to very much and is a few years older) called me out in the sweetest way and it opened my mind! Now I recently hit a growth spurt and I have an averaged sized butt and boobs, but since I'm into health, my small waist makes everything look huge. I have also begun to love my body. I have had two body types in my life and I am so proud to say that for over a year now I have not only been against body shaming, but stood up to people who did. And I stop putting people in a box based on what they wear solely because I wasn't confident enough to wear that crop top myself. I am "beautiful" by societies standards externally but it's so irrelevant! I promise to never body shame again and be proud of every woman and man walking r down the street who are doing their best to spread the message of love on.
