Absolutely beautiful release. The combination of the case finishing and the rugged strap provide an amazing vintage aesthetic. I prefer the brown dial variant. Have always been partial to the Luminor but this one might change my mind!

I have to agree with the finishing of the case and dial on this, especially for me the brown it’s stunning. It’s also not crazy thick and rounded edges I’m sure make it fine to wear. But. It’s still really big at 45. The movement is bland. For the price it’s competing with very hard hitters

I agree. Too big for me as well. I really dislike the way it advertises its 8 day power reserve at the 3 o'clock position too. It draws way too much attention for just some text. And why have a visible case back when a plate covers almost all of the movement? Seems like something a cheap watch company would do. Hard pass

I'd advice anyone considering a Panerai but thinking it's too big just by looking at the stats, to actually try it on. In my opinion, they wear smaller than you'd expect, especially the Luminor, surprisingly. I guess I should mention I own a 44 mm Luminor 914 and it fits my 18 cm (7 inch) wrist perfectly.

I think these look great! I don't know what 14,000 didgeridoos converts to real money, but it sounds like a lot. I must admit that Panerai has been growing on me in recent years after paying no attention to the brand for most of my life.

That’s a no on the “sun faded” fumè dial. The original Radiomir’s had faded centers because the radiation from the Radiomir paint in the hands slowly bleached away the black paint of the dial.
