No mention of the new PAM01365? Sleeper that came out in August. 40mm, 12-Hour GMT that acts like a true Panerai w/ 100m WR and leaves out the silly Luna Rossa motif.

A 42mm (or 44mm) Carbotech sub with a monochrome dial (something akin to the current 47mm marina militare sub) would be a lovely companion piece for the Black G Shock Forged Carbon GCW B5000 I just bought.

I absolutely think they need to get back into high complication pieces. They've got the ability. Sure, it may not be a money-maker all on its own, but it will elevate the brand overall. Halo effect. Hopefully we see them filter down into SS as well. Precious metal is nice, but it puts it out of range of most collectors. I would also love to see a return to the 45mm 1940 cases. They didn't have much of a run and it seems a shame. They are probably one of the most everyday wearable Panerai out there. I have a 572, but I'm just not a huge fauxtina fan. I have enough of it on some of the larger PAM's in my collection. I have a 516 and a 662, so the 47mm 1940. Sublime case design. Just not as much of a strap on and go in the morning kind of size. Wire lugs are cool and unique, I have 4 of them, so definitely a fan. Again, just not as "safe" a choice for whatever the day brings. I think the 45mm 1940 works perfectly as a dress watch... if you have larger wrists. Would be great to see it return with some of the more modern color palette!

Apparently 2024 is the year of the Sub for Panerai (so say the NY and London stores), but can't find any leaks / hints which give any more specifics

To be honest with you, Panerai is crap. No retention value and no esthetics. If youre betting on panerai, your company will be doomed. Just awful. You need to stick to Rolex, AP, VC, and PP.

I would say their coming back. Bringing some good thoughtful designs. No they aren’t Rolex or Vacheron, but they are great unique brand that their is demand for. I got my first 2 months ago with an online only Panerai and am really enjoying it. PAM0185.
