Looking at trying to do a KZbin thing whit my future son in-law. If there is any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I've watched you for years and have fished for years. We both love the sport and want to try it. To try and help spread the sport and share the love and fun for it and the outdoors. Thank you for the years of fun and learning. Thank you for what ever you toss are way. Keep up the good work!!

At 70 and a Fly Fishing enthusiast I still thrill to fun of a big Bluegill on a 4 weight Fly Rod I've caught many Bass, Trout, Salmon, Pike, and Muskie, but I enjoyed them no more then finding a spawning bed of Bluegills! What fun!

Really enjoyed the video from beginning to end! Great pointers for the water-and life too! Seeing this for the first time on KZbin after 25 years have passed by and was just as good as when I was a youngster watching on tv! God bless you’ll. Really needed to hear that scripture at that very moment. Thanks!

Remember to bring home the average sized fish and throw back the impressive oversized ones. Your kids will thank you.

I find the date thing to be incorrect. Where I live the first bluegill spawn is May 10-15. No matter what the water temperature is. No matter what the weather does. If the weather is stable with a warm front setting in at this time. They will bed shallow a full moon will make it more concentrated. If the lake is unusually cold or a cold front comes in the fish will back out, scatter and spawn in deeper water. There is always a second spawn somewhere around the first week in June but it is rarely as good as the first spawn.

Hunters and anglers alike are realizing finally that keeping or harvesting the largest of the species is a bad thing. It changed the group structure of genetics of a species to be smaller and weaker which is the opposite of what we ultimately want. I've said this for years to my family and friends since I was a kid but nobody listened until the last couple of years realizing its best to take out the weakest or smallest ones to remove their "bad" genetics from the gene pool.

Amen. Well said. We have to protect the resources as outdoorsmen.

These fish spawn like crazy, there's hundreds or thousands to take the place of any decent sized fish. Basic biology of population dynamics. Healthy habitat is more important than harvest size.

Where do you pick those spinners up? Never fished those before.
@lukkyluciano7 жыл бұрын
anywhere, Johnson bettle spin and you can change the soft plastic. Tiny flasher jigs work great too but a little different

I use a $17 micro series by Shakespeare and a $30 500 series Pflueger. Nice little combo great for Panfish/Trout. Less than $50 for my ultra light set up. That 500 series Pflueger can hold 110yds of 10lb braid. It's pretty awesome. I can't see dropping the kind of money on a rod/reel for panfishing these guys are dropping.

I've fished all my life and practiced catch and release 44 years now we're suppose to care about the quarry we pursue not just talk it (not a fan of tournament fishing to much tech. equip.to be doing a weigh in ritual killing lots of fish and relocating territorial fish)

I don't even keep bluegill until they are 9" or bigger. If I filet them any smaller there is nothing left. So the more lbs the better.. And bluegill is the best tasting fish that God made.

Me and my friends dont have that kind of money that the wealthy Linder Clan and your wealthy friends have..so thanks anyways...oh and, God bless u too. Get back down to the normal everyday people, and maybe we'll watch your videos again. 😨🎣
