There is also the fact that Mario’s kinda short. Taking SMO as a base, Mario can jump a bit more than the height of a regular human, maybe somewhere in the 7- to 8-foot region I’d say. Definitely a pretty big hop, especially taking the fact that he’s like 3 feet tall

The koopa spawned the first time, the tossed POW block killed it. Level designer mistake.
