I love this song because i'm so connected to it. I'm going through depression, I don't have any friends, and my family hates me. One day in class my cuts decided to randomly start bleeding so of course I started freaking out. The boy who sits next to me handed me a bandage. I was all embarrassed and started stuttering thank you but he just laughed and said, don't worry I always have some extra with me. Turns out he cut to. Now he's my boyfriend and I have a reason to live. So brb, gonna go cry now. Edit (2020): We broke up but it was mutual and healthy for us both. We're still good friends and we will always support each other. I'm so thankful he came into my life when he did, because he really changed it completely, and for the better. We're both doing better now :)

I'm imagining two people who have been best friends since childhood, as they grow up one of them realizes their feelings for the other person but feels conflicted because they don't want their feelings to mess up what they have and they're afraid of rejection "I never so adored you... Don't let me do this to myself" The person feels like their best friend is something unachievable romantically but their feelings are only growing when trying to suppress them "I'm chasing rollercoasters, I got to have you closer now" The innocent crush builds up to an unhealthy obsession even though the person is trying to fight against their feelings "Fixation or psychosis? Devoted to neurosis now" Eventually they confess their feelings over a letter to appear less intimidating with the overwhelming feelings and ask to meet up at their special place if they want to take a chance in love, feeling sure their best friend wouldn't show up "Well, I never really thought that you'd come tonight" They meet and even though unsure of what would become of them and if it could ever work between the two, they kiss while they have nothing left to lose "Give me one last kiss while we're far too young to die"

this song..... i swear everytime it comes on its like the world goes silent and i stop breathing to listen to the soft melancholy beat. i get this feeling in my chest......words cannot explain its a song about embracing life and yet it sounds like it could be played at a funeral

wow. the more I listen to every song off of Too Weird the more I realize how great this album is. the theme, the style, the emotion. it's definitely if not the best, in the top 3 best panic! albums. this was really the birth of the new panic! it's also the first album brendon did solo work on, which I think made the album more mature than the previous ones. all around great album, fan of panic! or not

I’m gonna attempt to interpret this amazing song, here we go: You want someone so bad, but you realize that the person you want is “using you” and making you do all these things when that person KNOWS that it’s never going anywhere. Or is that just what you get from all this heartbreak and pain that this person causes you to go through sub-consciously? All this brings you to a suicidal state, when this person actually gives you a chance. Or do they? Is it all in your head? Is this person tearing you apart on purpose or are they just being friendly and you’re going crazy? You want so bad for you and this person to be together forever, but you know it’s never gonna happen, so you just want to leave. You just want to escape this hell, but you feel there’s still something to live for. You’re just far too young to die

I also commented this on the brobecks' version but the brobecks' version feels like being young and feeling invincible. Like being irrational and genuinely feeling that you won't die yet cuz you're far too young to die. Panic's version feels like remembering when you felt like that. When you were young and invincible and now it's all just nostalgia and memories.

The difference between this and the brobecks version is so fascinating. The core is there within the brobekcs, but the vibe is completely different. The original is fun and energetic, it's light and fluffy almost. this version is almost, apocalyptic? a surprising amount on this album is very dark and rough compared to prior output, it makes me wonder if the entire album was originally happy in demo and then Brendan brought it into the cellar.
