When i was a baby christian 9 years ago i used to tune into Jakes - as I grew i saw his sermons as just whipping up emotions in people, all a big show. People desperate for their ears tickled whilst he grew rich on their attendance. Showbiz churches are not the church of Acts - These are akin to Simon the Sourcerer. The other end of the spectrum is the Hell and brimstone fear sermons of the reformers and calvanists. Neither of these teach Christ and The Gospel of the Kingdom just entertainment, fear or life coaching with a sprinkle of Scripture. Hillsong, Jakes, Ravi Zacharias...all exposed. The Lord will lead you to these churches but as you deepen your walk you will be guided out - unless of course you want to remain, and he will leave you following these charlatons. Such a pity. i forgave myself for wanting to be entertained and not discipled. Im still growing ❤

😢 DITTO TD Jakes would never quote Scriptures. He would always say "AND THE BIBLE SAYS ..." BUT NEVER QUOTE A SCRIPTURE AND TEACH ON IT". I come from Bible Studying and Teaching. Worshipping must go on. If anyone is angry they must stay at home and not interfere with the saints worshipping, because the church is the house of God and no one particular person must claim ownership. I will not judge but I will choose to listen to whom ever preaching the gospel…. I don’t have an itchy ears I need to hear what this said the Lord. I know he will give me the ability to get my wants according to his will and he always supplies my need but in order to know him and what he requires of me, I need to hear the preaching of the gospel not how to get rich. You see when I leave all of these worldly possession behind that I can’t take with me. I need to know that I have a home in glory for the rest of my life after this life is over.

Except that the Bible tells us to "Judge righteous judgment." The verses that address "Judge not that ye be not judged" go on to explain and to warn against hypocrisy in judging. Don't stop at that one verse.. It is just a caution. We don't have to judge. God has already told us what his standard is. We are admonished to call out sin. The apostles certainly called out sin. Paul famously called out Peter for his hypocrisy in eating and mixing with Gentiles--until some Jewish believers from James came to town. We are told to be discerning. We are told to hold our Christen brethren to account. We are all just filthy, rotten sinners saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ; but Jesus also said, "Go and sin no more." Yes, we sin, but we are admonished not to continue in sin. If we are happy to dwell in sin, then we must question if we are born again. "If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things are passed away. Behold all things are made new." Sinning should grieve us.

The devil only attacks those who are effective in their mission for God. Satan doesn't attack those who serve him. Satan's works are certainly highly effective amongst those who sit in judgement against the servant of the Lord. And though he may fall the Lord will lift him up just as he has done with many others. Satan is the accuser of the brethren...ponder that.

I am a follower of Jesus Christ too. Just as you were became a believer, many others who may have been close or on the fence are now alienated because of his actions. How will God the Father judge Jakes from that perspective. A leader in God's church, that church (the people) belong to God. Jakes had no right to disrupt that. My prayers are for the people, God's children. Can Jake's recover? Well, he's not a Judas but the Word says 2 Corinthians 11:3 "but I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ." There are many more warnings of being led astray, Jake for all intents and purposes is a shepherd to the Father's sheep, His children and should be above reproach. He's human, yes, but he's also supposed to be godly, a man of God. There is more than enough Word to help you, Moses, Abraham and David loss so much for their ungodly behavior.

I truly hope that this video is meant to inspire people to pray for this church, its leaders and the community. I hope it is not just for clickbait. It goes to show that he wasn't a true shepherd of God because until the end of his run as pastor over that church HE (T.D JAKES) was suppose to come and make that announcement to the members of the church and NOT his wife because she is NOT THE HEAD OF THE CHURCH nor was she the COVERING over the sheep of God. Even if he was sick or in the hospital, his wife was not to address the church, the assistant pastor or whoever he had second in command was suppose to and sorry it shouldn't be his wife.
