I just finished The Clockmaker’s Daughter. I loved that book so much. The way Kate Morton writes is like weaving a beautiful tapestry with words and the characters.

I love Kate Morton! She's my favorite author! The Forgotten Garden and The House At Riverton are still tied as my second favorite book! I live in the US, so I have the US editions of her books and I really wish they would stop messing with the covers. Her first four books have a design that really depict her writing and stories I feel like, and show that they are historical fiction. The Lake House looks like a literary thriller. And most of the editions of The Clockmaker's Daughter look like any other literary fiction book coming out recently. What's up with all these floral covers and what do they have to do with the story? Enough about covers, though, I'm excited for the book to come out!

She's so wonderful isn't she?! Oh no, it's always the worst when you don't like the covers of books that you love! -Emma

I love the videos I've seen of her, too, because she seems so down to earth! They're still well designed I think, but the original ones more accurately show the feeling of reading her books. But, yeah. Thankfully if different covers/editions are available of a book I can pick the one I like the most!

So cool to know how she writes - I wonder if she ever has to give up on a notebook half way because the ideas just stop coming? Definitely sounds like she has that in her head Sherlock flying clues linking it all together going on

House on the Strand is one of my favourite books. Written by Du Maurier in her sixties - unlike all her other books written in her twenties and early thirties. Merging a present day relationship with a tragic love story in14th century Cornwall.
