A promising start but then things went a bit off plan. Disappearing light sticky shutters and a slow loss of hope BUT..... things improved and all came good with some surprising results.

honestly, I am very much appreciate for people shoot panoramic with film nowadays. I am curiously to see most of the so called photographer much more rely on the latest technology and buy high price tag digital back , tech camera and lenses to pano stitched and computer based panoramic photography. 617 is the popular format 20 years ago. I still can't see any digital back can beat 617 film except economical reason, but really?!! It is weird to see digital panoramic pics. Keep on. that is amazing.

@@huyongquan6554 Thankyou for your comment I really appreciate this. I love to keep my film photography going, I find it so much more of a pleasure to shoot film than digital these days. It’s nice to have both digital and film gear but to see a panoramic print from the 6x17 is amazing

Hi Lee thanks for posting another lovely little video that demonstrates the power of patience! Landscape photography is (as you know) all about waiting patiently for the right moment to press the shutter whether shooting digitally or using film. I have been to that location many times and been frustrated by the disappearance of the light at the crucial moment! Your patience paid off in the end.

Cracking shots Lee. Love the first one with both Tors in and the nosey sheep, really makes the scene. I remember going up there for a sunset and the path back to the car was a nightmare, near impossible to find.

@@grahamhutton3129 thanks Graham I’ve been up there so many times and every time I lose the path on the way back 😂, you end up walking down through a boulder field, not great in the dark 😬

Lee nice shots I have the Noble 6x17 3d printed camera. I would rather shoot film than didgital, like you say it slows you down and makes you work for shot. I do digital as well but prefer film especially black & white. I have about 25 old film cameras that i shoot when ever I can.
@LeePengellyPhotography
@LeePengellyPhotography 5 күн бұрын
@@mickcookson8009 Thanks Mick glad you like them. I love shooting film and like you I think it can work alongside a digital system but there’s just something special about film. 25 cameras 😱 that’s a lot of cameras !

Like the vids and your explanation on the process of the shots you take but the ones with the 6 17 are my favourites to the point i maybe get a chroma in the coming year, i did have my wifes consent to buy an x pan i saw in a shop over Christmas but much as i want one, no i couldn't do it and ended up with a Bronica etrs, on the sticky shutter in the cold i have one for my Mamiya c330 and have to fire a few shots of with the lens cap on in double exposure mode to bring it up to speed, above 10 degrees its fine but eventual it will need a service

@LeePengellyPhotography 5 күн бұрын
@@vin424242 Thankyou. The Xpan is very expensive considering it’s a 35mm format pano camera. The Chroma is great as it gives a huge neg without the huge cost of this format. Think I might have to get my 90mm serviced soon, it’s not the first time it’s happened

I enjoyed very much this video. I like the picture with 4 sheeps. The composition is perfect! I would like to know if you use a fuji center filter?.... on ebay the price is very expensive at least 700euros!.... Did you find a cheaper one?...I hope to see soon a new video.

Nice images. Don’t really understand why people are so adamant about film or digital. It’s all photography in the end. Yes one has a different feel or look than the other but still photography is photography in the end. I’ve been an active photographer since 1970 and have used them all from instant film to digital to half frame, full frame, 35mm, 120 roll film and 4x5. So just go out and use what you like on what you like

@@sophietucker1255 Thankyou Sophie Yes I know it’s easy to get a little hung up on the versus debate although I do enjoy the slower process and anticipation of shooting film. I digital is great but it’s instant so it shortens the whole experience, if that makes sense 😬
