I tried those wires on the impala sunroof and it wouldn’t power it and my battery 🔋 is charged. I used a 20v drill battery

Hey bro have you don’t the BMW X3 panoramic sunroof if so what wires do I need to power it up at the junkyard before buying it.

I’m not too sure. This was the first roof I tested. Hit up Catloco on KZbin. He has dealt with several different roofs before.

Where u hooking up to in the Chevy to have power and movement inside
@MrGriffin23 Жыл бұрын
You can hook it up to any 12v+ source really, but I would hook it one to a keyed on source (when the ignition is on and or car is running). If not I can hook it up straight to battery hot can then you can use it anytime.

What about wiring it to the ignition?
@StlMar3143 жыл бұрын
Just find a key hot fuse.. Sunroof has to be at least 5 amp
@MrGriffin233 жыл бұрын
Yep! That’s could be done. Keyed on 12v+ source. I’m assuming that’s how they were from factory.

What amp did u use and and engine start or u use a jump starter
@MrGriffin234 жыл бұрын
If you mean to power the sunroof, I used a jump box from Harbor Freight.

Where did you wire these 3 wires up into the car???
@MrGriffin234 жыл бұрын
You follow the wiring from the switch up front along the drivers side edge of the headliner down the C-pillar behind the passenger rear door leading into the cluster in the trunk.
@realwithself51594 жыл бұрын
MrGriffin23 so you ran yours to the trunk switch??
@MrGriffin234 жыл бұрын
Real With Self My Bad, I misread what u were saying. I’d run them straight to battery. You can also run an in-line breaker or similar if u want, but probably not needed since it should only need 12 volts to power. However, you can verify that on your own. I haven’t installed mine yet. I’m waiting till next spring.

Anybody know how these hold up to subwoofer bass?
@MrGriffin23 Жыл бұрын
Depends what u pushing. A big bass set-up can compromise the a sunroof, windows etc… I’ve seen sunroofs come off the tracks.
