Funny story on how I got into Pantera. I had asked my grandparents for the most recent Petra (Christian rock) cassette for Christmas. They went to their local record shop and the kid had never heard of them so thought they meant Pantera and set my grandparents up with the "vulgar display of power" cassette, man was that a shock for Christmas, the heaviest thing I had listened to up to that point was the scorpions. A day I'll never forget as it was my first foray into true metal.

Dimebag is absolutely the greatest rock/metal guaiterist of all time. I'm from Columbus, Ohio and I remember the night he was killed. I've been to the alrosa villa a few times. I had been downstairs in the basement drinking and jamming. When I was done, I came up, got something to eat and turned on the news and when I realized it was dimebag, I was truly heartbroken. 99.7 the blitz had a very moving tribute to him. I recorded it on cassette and had it for the longest time till it broke behind repair..it's hard to believe it was that long ago.. R.I.P. Dime..we miss you..

Not to take anything away from Dimebag's ability to play solos, but for this song what always keeps my attention is the band playing behind the solo. I really like the central riff of the song.
