Please I'm knocking these guys at all.....I was inside the pit and the sound was very bad for them and Mammouth. Any reason why? It just seemed like the PA guy god rid of the mids and lower mids completely.......what gives? They deserved better.

@@chrisk920 These shows that Metallica does in the round have been part of their live offering for a long time now. They dial it in and know how to make it work. Warm-up acts are usually at a disadvantage becuase their audio teams are mostly acustomed to a stereo system (left right) rather than surround sound. I've heard the same sentiment from others on this tour, that dead center pit is terrible sound, and honestly I'm not surprised. Add in outdoor factors like wind and humidtity and if you're in a poor coverage area it only makes it worse. Which is a shame, because that's a great area to see the show! Also, to your point about the mids - usually engineers reduce frequency in the 1k area because it reduces harshness and allows them to push the overall level even more without making peoples ears bleed!! It also happens to be some of the best frequency range for crisp sounding guitar. I've seen them in the arena shows twice during this offering and I can say they definitly keep the mids throttled and it makes the guitar sound less powerful. Back when Aarron Barnes was mixing PatnerA in the 90s, I don't think he cared about any of that, it was just max volume 🤣

I'm sorry but without Vinnie Paul and Dimebag Darrell, this is not Pantera. Phil needs to stop...
@BsCurious3 ай бұрын
@@jasonwalker2150 Real Pantera fans care. Its not them. You can say as much as you want, but its not. I do not give a shit about your opinion. Its fact. Two of the most important members are dead. That made Pantera. Its just Phil with stand ins. Nothing else.

It’s a Tribute Tour to the late Dimebag and Vince! Did you forget to read the original online memo before this began??! Ffs!

@@jasonwalker2150 Look, I can admit when I'm wrong, as I did when I acknowledged the tribute tour for Dimebag and Vinnie. It's called being mature and respectful, qualities you clearly lack. Your pathetic attempt to belittle me only highlights your own insecurities and lack of depth. While I’ve grown up, built a successful life, and learned the value of humility, you’re still stuck in a juvenile mindset, thinking gatekeeping a band makes you superior. It's honestly laughable and sad. Maybe one day you'll understand that real fans and real adults don't need to tear others down to feel good about themselves. Until then, enjoy your insignificant existence.

Well, as far as I'm concerned they sound really good and I'm glad they are uniting as musicians to pay tribute to the legacy of Pantera, however I think it would have been a wiser choice to not use the Pantera name.
