+Pæblo León Right, when He did not know that heroin would change him forever. Nevertheless, He wrote great music with Down. It is scared how that shit can change people and their behavior and attitude toward friends. I really believe Phil carries a huge weight on his shoulder. Dimebag's death was a massive shame. A few years after he released an interview where He apologized for what happened to Dimebag. Sooo sad that Dimebag's family did not want him attending the funeral. But, who knows, probably it was a choice imposed by the great sense of sorrow.

@Celio19891
@Celio19891 8 жыл бұрын
+nkmcfrln You clearly have not watched any interviews of his that took place within the last two or three years then. He might not be able to speak as fluidly as he did before the heroin addiction but anyone actually listening to what comes out of his mouth can tell that his mind is still very much intact. He is still very much thoughtful and intelligent.

These two men were my sexual awakening. I was about 11 or 12 when I saw stuff from Cowboys from Hell and everything changed and I knew what boys were on this planet for😅 One of my absolute most cherished memories was from all the way back in 1992 when my friend lived right up the street from the club The Basement. They were playing there and me and my friend walked up there (keep in mind that we were 12) desperate to see the show. Of course we were stopped at the door. Bouncer guy was not having it and we were about to lose all hope when Rex and Phil came over and asked what was going on. Of course we're completely starstruck and just standing there with our mouths agape. While the bouncer guys trying to explain that we just want to come in to see the show but it's 18 and up show dime who was standing a few feet back just yells "Let the f****** kids in! They're not going to bother anybody man just make them stand by the door." The three of them give us nods of approval and just walk away to the stage. They let us stand inside the door for 3 songs. That is one of my most precious memories in this world.

Seb Citt dime never stopped loving Phil, he got hooked on h and hard liquor and it completely mind fucked him, dime reached out to Phil more than anyone else in his life and there's no excuse but Phil just had no comprehension of what was to come non one did and to this day he lives with probably the utmost guilt anyone even his brother has or had. I like Phil, i know 75 percent of pantera fans hate him. People carry different opinions but i think dime would want vinnie to let it go and squash this grief.

I find it interesting at 2:31 when Dime says Terry, Phil corrects him and says Terry Date. My observation is that Dime was a little thrown off but quickly realized that it was important to clarify Terry Date as opposed to Terry Glaze, the band’s former singer. I could be wrong.

MagikDood Do you think overdoses, and multiple near death experiences requiring cardiopulmonary resuscitation fry the brain ? I fucking do. I'm 40 and followed the band from the beginning. Was my fucking life.

Phil was so strong, so powerful in the beginning. It was fucking painful watching that mans demise through the duration. I don't understand why he gets such cult following. The shit he put Dime, and Vinnie through fucking disgusts me. I've had problems with drug addiction as well, but the realization that I was hurting those I cared about was always so sobering. The selfish prick. He obviously didn't care about anyone but himself.

88IDontBuyIt88 You Might not know the whole story... a lot of hype surrounding the band with Drugs and Drugs (alcohol) you have to keep in mind that dime was an addict as well... Did you read Rex's book?

Doug French I am sure phil was and maybe still is a selfish person but I think Down was/is a great fucking band, hardly any good bands carrying the black sabbath torch, even though I wasn't that in to the last 2 records..

And Dimebag's hair flips and southern accent....ohhh he would've been allowed to have his way with me back in the day lol. The reporter," how can it get heavier?" Dimebag," No problem" Hahahahahahaha spoke like a true boss legend!
