Honestly never hated on old pantera but never listened and I gotta say.. I have no idea where all the hate comes from. These guys kicked ass at the Glam thrash and heavy metal scene.

Lyrics: Listen up good I got a lot to say I know what I want And I get my own way I call 'em as I see 'em I don't play by the book One dose of volume That's all it took I've seen it, I've done it I've heard it before Now it's my turn To settle the score I'll sing it, I'll shout it I'll say it again I don't care if they Never give in cause I'm PROUD TO BE LOUD PROUD TO BE LOUD YOU KNOW I'M PROUD PROUD TO BE LOUD Well I've alway believed In freedom of speech And i've always been the one Who practiced what I preached LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT I'll give you the choice But it'll snow in hell Before I lower my voice I live it, I breathe it I gotta have more It's full blast And this means war The power, the glory Its callin' my name I won't start to Play their game cause I'm PROUD TO BE LOUD PROUD TO BE LOUD I'M PROUD TO BE LOUD AND I'LL NEVER TURN IT DOWN AGAIN NO!! PROUD TO BE LOUD PROUD TO BE LOUD I'M PROUD, PROUD TO BE LOUD

Glam is when metal was made for the ladies... before it became aggressive and angry for the testosterone junky-gym rats and locker room hype music.

+Arnar Sigurðsson KEEL gave the song to PANTERA!
@gabriellarrubia10067 жыл бұрын
Keel's guitarist Marc Ferrari produced this album, and he wrote this song in particular... but Pantera's version is older because Ferrari had left Keel and they all disbanded in '89... Keel's version was done for a compilation album of unreleased tracks, meaning this was a prototype song and might have been used had they decided to release another album in the '80s... so not really a cover, more like a gift song

@ChristianF15cher11 жыл бұрын
They were hardly a glam band at this point. Listen to Power Metal and Cowboys From Hell back to back- i don't think one sounds any heavier than the other.

@gabriellarrubia10067 жыл бұрын
not better, I think overrall Cowboys from Hell is still their best album regardless of genre, but you gotta admit this was pretty high-quality material... Pantera as glam was actually a lot more skilled and talented, with better songs than most of the glam bands like Motley Crue, Poison, etc. I'd say they were about evenly matched with Dokken as glam, less popular but much better... It's a shame they weren't recognized in the '80s when they could have been just as huge commercially... luckily they still managed to break through as they were arguably one of the best bands of their new genre in the '90s seeing as how Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer and a lot of the thrash bands really went downhill during this period... Plus newer bands like Machine Head were good but just didn't measure up, I'd say Megadeth, Overkill and Testament were the only classic thrash bands in the '90s with a good run like Pantera, but none had 5 consecutive albums that were great
