There's valid reason mayu mentioned earlier (during the starts of NEMOPHILA when they released lots of covers) regarding the difference 'tone' of male and female vocals so that she alone had to choose wisely which song to cover because obviously on the instrumental sides, there will be no problem at all. Lots of songs that mayu loves can't be covered because of the her vocal range and obviously she loves Walk but IMHO she would do better job on Cemetary Gates, which more fitting to her style of switching vocal styles. Nevertheless, she tried and she made it NEMOPHILA's version, which are not comparable to the 'vulgar display of power' as PANTERA did.

Instrumentals slapped, but I agree with you, she lacks attitude, she is like a kitten that tries to act though ;) Still fun for what it is, which is Nemophila performing in their style: heavy but soft and fluffy.

You can do phils southern drawl well, but having issues understanding upchurch or hank3. There is a differans between louisiana and tennessee drawl, but you should be able carry it over. Say Upchurch "Come and get it" video as a starter to sing along to, he brings it out a fair bit and you can see him do it. Also pay atention to how he says stuff like fire, its more faar roar sounding and is out the side your mouth. Then you should be able to do something off the hank3 "brothers of the 4x4" album, "Broken Boogie" has him doing some long draws out the side his mouth.

Yeah. Me first. #1) Not a fan of Pantera. Saw their live 1995 Ozzfest version of Walk. Didn't like Pantera's version. #2) I love Nemophila. Love their originals & covers up until the Zepp tour of 2022 were good. The new batch since their first Zepp tour. Not too much. 10-FEET, Foo Fighters (Walk), Seikima-II covers were great. The rest. I'll pass. #3) Last Saturday. They played a cover on their preview video of the upcoming 4 new covers & one new song EP. They played 5 originals & one cover called *"Sugar"* from System of a Down (will be on the EP). That was a very good cover. Not a System of a Down fan either. #4) I hate *Walk* (Pantera cover) from Nemophila. Love looking at the band. And Hazuki's guitar solo & her haircut (she's starting to look like Haraguchi-san). Rest. Don't like. Well. That's me.

Saw the reaction. Now I understand why I didn't like this song. It had to be brutal. Or go extremely the other way and be very, very over the top in a feminine way. Soften the edges. Then *Walk* would fit Mayu's voice (tone) & range.
