Pantheon is the raid boss gauntlet I've been waiting for. Mostly.

pantheon is destiny's upcoming raid boss gauntlet, something that i've been wanting to see for a long, long time. it doesn't seem like old bosses will be returning at all, which is a shame, but i'm still VERY interested in getting to experience this, especially at -20 power levels. i know there is some datamined information out there, some leaks, but i don't usually like to talk about datamined information, so if there's stuff out there that i didn't mention that's from datamining, that's why i didn't talk about it.

I think they start with this, but Pantheon could always be expanded on in another patch/expansion/episode. They had to cram a lot into this free update in a short amount of time. Remaking the older vaulted bosses into the new engine and sandbox would take some time. However, this would be an easier place to do it in the future instead of remaking the entire raid. Im hopeful. This allows them to remake just one encounter and toss it into Pantheon instead of an entire raid.

and lets be honest: do we really need all of SotP back? i mean the sparrow section is neat and insurrection prime is a pretty good encounter but aside from that the raid really isnt anything special. same goes for literally all other currently vaulted raids aside from levi imo and maybe CoS but even that one is pushing it a bit

@@kurokofs113the rest of the vaulted raids deserved to be unvaulted with slight tweaks similar to how the missions we got initl were treated. The only old raid content in could really see being added to pantheon are the raid laid bosses. Everything else should come back in full

@@spegus6210 we dont know about Zero Hour yet, but Whisper might as well have no changes. jumping puzzle is the same aside from platforms u can summon for help and the combat stuff is the same as well aside from second room actually being easier and the boss room having a pit and a new taken ogre. i dont think the oracles being in different spots compared to where the chests were in old whisper is a signifact change. if SotP follows that design scheme then that basically comes down to switches in the sparrow section being somewhere else and bonus chests moving ever so slightly. none of the actual geometry or mechanics would change. at most we would get a master version with some champs. in that case i would much rather just get insurrection prime and move on without taking a considerable amount of dev time away from other stuff. that being said of course im gonna be happy if old raids return, i just dont see the need for that to actually happen

At least having some different presets for Buffs/Debuffs locations would help. I play both D2 and FFXIV and on XIV you can fully customize where you put your buffs and debuffs, however like Datto sorta mentioned I don't think D2 is built in a way to allow complete control of placing and switching HUD elements whenever the player chooses.

The week by week thing is probably going to be that each week after launch adds an additional boss level to the gauntlet, which continues to increase in difficulty. But you probably still start from the level 1 boss every time you go in, progressing up to the highest level

There will be 4 difficulties. Each difficulty increase will increase the power deficit by 5 and increases the boss count Pantheon 1: only 4 bosses all will be -5 Pantheon 2 will be -10 Pantheon 3 will be -15 Pantheon 4: 8 bosses all -20

Dang it! Why did all of you complain about the channel on the right? That looked awesome! There are very few debuffs, so having them over there is fine. You don't need to read it, you just need to use your peripheral vision to see a debuff is there.

I have been begging and pleading to just give us the full list of buffs and debuffs active at any given time 😂 I wouldn’t mind if they were on the right but i also like the idea of having them all stacked on the left. Especially with moving weapon buffs over the super bar, there should be more than enough room. Even if they capped it at like 8 and pushed the lowest priority stuff out that’d be amazing. Also that mocap clip was sick af wth!

All the raid bosses for each version of the pantheon have already been leaked and none of them are old bosses it’s all ones we currently have in the game. The emblems you get are sick though they look way better than any of the day 1 raid emblems

i really want to do contest rhulk again just to see how much my account has grown. for my day 1 clear i was using sleeper and cartesians and it was the most surreal thing ever to kill rhulk on contest. now I have 2 more day 1's under my belt and much more experience. i actually cant wait for pantheon, it looks pretty cool.

So something that comes to mind specifically to your thoughts on only 2 raid debuffs at a time, based on my knowledge of FFXIV raid debuffs I would think that we would probably be limited to 2 debuffs at a time individually, meaning you could potentially see a complex encounter where every person in the fireteam could have a completely different set of 2 buffs or debuffs. So just because you yourself will only have 2 doesn’t mean those would be the only 2 you need to worry about

The only problem I have with the UI system currently is that Im legally blind in my left eye (vision is 2600/20) so having to turn my head a little bit and looking down with my right eye is always annoying to keep up with debuffs and buffs
