Hi Pan, Great review and Happy New Year! I recently bought one of these new Rupes HLR75 cordless polisher from Carzilla as an early Christmas gift for myself and just finished polishing and ceramic coating another early Christmas gift a new Cayenne. I am glad that I had the 3” polisher in my arsenal as the Cayenne has many curves and small areas that the Rupes LHR MKIII was too large to get into the small, tight area; I would guess that I used the 3” about 80% of the time. There is a learning curve using the LHR75, unless you turn the speed dial down to 0 the trigger is still active and you can easily accidentally activate it and spray yourself and vehicle with compound, you only make this mistake one or two times!! When I first saw a picture of it I thought it looked strange, but it works perfectly in real life and has lots of power, I really love it!! 😎

Pat and I have a question what do you recommend I have light squirrels on my truck should I use a one step polish or just a regular polish
@PanTheOrganizer2 жыл бұрын
You have light squirrels? LOL You probably mean light "swirls" right? I sure hope so! A one-step or "all-in-one" type polish combines both a light polish and adds a bit of protection at the end, in one step. Typically the protection lasts 1 to 3 months. A true polish, has no protection in it. So when you're done polishing, you apply your choice of wax, sealants or ceramic coating. You will get more durability from the protection this way, as you pick what you want for the protection. See my compounds, polishes and pads video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aHunp4R4qJapn68

Hey Pan, great video! Are there any hard and fast rules about how many times you can compound and polish a car in a year? Twice a year, once a quarter? Not talking about perfection here just like correcting small scratches and swirls. Thx!
@PanTheOrganizer2 жыл бұрын
Keep in mind when polishing (either a compound or a polish) you are removing a thin layer of clear coat each time. So there will come a point if you polish too aggressively and too often, that you'll go through the clear coat. Hence why we often use a paint depth gauge to see how much material we're working with. See my video on that here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i6LXqIWVnpqKgZY Now in general, and I'm saying this loosely, as measuring is always best, if the car is brand new and the paint is factory OEM in good condition, it's safe to say you can polish once a year for many years before having to worry. A polish is a lighter abrasive, compared to a compound that has heavier abrasives (for deeper swirls and scratches or heavier oxidation removal for example). I wouldn't recommend compounding as often. But as each vehicle's paint thickness and clear coat thickness hardness/softness is different, there is no official rule. Be careful, and measure.

Hey pan hope you had a fantastic holidays keep up the amazing content. I am finally going to buy that pump sprayer from Poland, which snow foam is the best for that sprayer. Thanks and happy new year 🎉
@PanTheOrganizer2 жыл бұрын
Happy holidays! For foaming an entire car, the best option is always a pressure washer and foam cannon setup. If you have no other choice but to use a pump sprayer, I hope it's a foaming version like the Marolex Axel series (blue top, white bottle). You will have to play around with dilutions to find an appropriate ratio, but Koch Chemie Gsf should work well. Start with a 1:10 dilution and adjust as needed.

I consider Pan a product reviewer first and foremost. He’s obviously great at detailing, and it’s good to get his perspective involving the more obsessed weekend warrior techniques. The bulk of learning should probably come from people like Apex and Ammo that make/ made their money from detailing, not KZbin. Again Pan is great and has great insight and probably the best feel for the world of products out currently, but teaching detailing practices is more of a secondary skill.
