They should add the VK 36.01(H) to fill the gap between the Panzer III M and Tiger H1. It had a functional hull built and and some incomplete turrets built. Edit: I've made a mistake saying there are several functional hulls built however there's only one functional hull built so that's a mistake on my part. Also that didn't stop Gaijin adding the E-100 to the game even though it never received any turret

Couldn't agree more although I'm not sure how well its Squeeze bore gun will perform given it fires APCR. Will be cool either way. According to Hilary Doyle only one hull was ever actually drivable. It's a shame they didn't even try to fit the turret and gun to the complete hull

​@@KedrChadEateryea but the over engineering caused huge transmission and engine issues and in most actual tank battles they were severely out classed especially against the sherman m4a3 e2 a tank that bounced shells from the tigers 88 and equipped with its 76mm cannon a gun that was known to pen even a panthers frontal armor it just wasn't worth the cost given the m4a3e2 was almost half the price

Cant believe you forgot the Panther 2. I guess my favorite way of using the Panther series is just being able to use it. when its not nerfed to being useless. Even with a maxed out crew aka Aced & the modules are worthless/nerfed to being non existant.

because it literally did have a much more powerful engine. Gaijin decided to nerf it for "reasons" because there was a limiter put on the engine to increase it's overall lifespan and prevent overheating. However this is a very stupid reason for the nerf as this was the diffrence between the Ausf A and G in warthunder. (Ausf G has the same engine as the Ausf A but with a limiter on it for the above aformentioned reasons while the Ausf A is without the limiter)

Of note that was left out was that the mantlet on the VK 3002 is also weaker than on the other panther versions. Narrator also got the "chin" armor on the panther G wrong. The "chin" upgrade wasn't to decrease the pen chance to the turret, it was to eliminate a shot trap that the previous mantlet had. (rounds had a chance to bounce downwards into the turret if they impacted the bottompart of the previous mantlets slope, so mostly wrong paired with bad phrasing)

Hey Gaijin, how about making the engine governor a researchable part for Panther A/G/F instead of just downgrading the engine as a whole?I wanna be able to use the full 700 metric horsepower of that HL 230.I'm all for moving Panther A and G to 6.0 as long as they're able to utilise the full power of their engine like Tigers.

Thing is, the govenors were factory issue to the engines, it was meant to increase the life time, reliability of the engine and decrease fuel consumption, all in all it look good on paper to have those, but it in WT it would be great for most if not all situations to have the that few more horsepower, as you don't really have to worry about either of the 3 points above, besides all of them are fine in their own BRs, Panther A isn't really fastest or the most responsive medium anyways, that and it would utterly dismantle German 5.7 lineup, something which is not really worth it in the long run

The only real option for a faster Panther would require Gaijin to fix the engine in the Ausf D. Based on the very poor 3d model its a post June rebuild vehicle for the Battle of Kursk at least so it should have an ungovered 700hp HL230 P30 instead of the 650hp HL 210 P30

Panther experience: -Flanked by an M18 or shot by a bushed up M18 from a different zip code -one shot by a t-34 100 or an IS-2 at the beginning of a match -CAS, thats all i have to say -that one game where you are an entire panzer division in one tank -Volumetric bull where your 75 cant pen a russian tank basically flat on -or your shot just doesnt do anything cause of Russian fuel tanks as armor, and no it doesnt catch fire -ghostshelled...

Hey, about the new premium tornado, you need to add at least guided bombs or something. I can barely play this thing as a CAS aircraft. I think if you make it so you have to attach a laser designator pod where the drop tanks goes that it would be fine. Players would have to make a choice between more fuel or guided bombs.

I have it, it used to be at 5.7. It dominated at that tier as it had a better turret traverse than it's Ausf D cousin also at 5.7. Then in their infinite wisdom gaijin decided to up tier it to 6.0, where it now gets penned by everything.

As a USSR main nothing annoys me more than panthers. My only strategy against them is circle around them with my su-100p or m53 and shoot them from the back or the sides. It works half the time

The turret is a reliable spot to shoot in my experience, never aim for the hull unless its side-on. Protection analysis really helps in situations like these.

Throughout 1944 the Panther and the Panzer IV had exactly the same reliability rates and ready for service rates. These statistics are even quoted in the Wikipedia articles. Panthers and Panzer IV were good for 1500-2000km between two major maintenance or overhaul processes. Despite the critical late war production issues in 1943. Big trouble starte since December/November 1944 when Germany was finally cut off from their last tungsten and maganese sources. According to the published soviet factory trails (Steven Zaloga, T34 vs Stug III, Page 13 - 17) and the US test report, T34 had trouble to rum 300 to 400km with out problems. Until late 1943 only 17% of the T34 W2 engines reached a service life of 1000km. It wasnt until late 1944/1945 when T34/85 reached a service life of 2000 to 2500km and IS2 a service life of around 1800km (Numbers are from 5th guard tank army). The best Russian tanks are just as good as the worst germans tanks until late 1944. Of course Germany aimed for 5000km service life on all their vehicles during designe and testing. The US/UK were expecting 3000miles. Some of the first Tigers send to Africa/Italy reached 6000 to 8000km in mid 1943. Most Churchills had problems reaching 1000miles. Yes in 1944 german Panzers werent as good as they used to be, because of obvious reasons. But by WWII standards, they were still decent throughout 1944. 1945 different stroy.
