KZbin's algorithms just don't work. I have been following Stephanie Trick since about 2012, always asking for searches for their latest and yet this was over a year ago and only now i find it. Or it has found me? I have a CD in my car, one of three that rotate constantly. This particular one is "The World is Waiting for the Sunrise" - about seventeen times. I have always considered the 1919 celebration of the end of the Great War - because that was what it was - to be one of the most relentlessly optimistic bits of music....ever. It has always been my favourite jazz classic. I have three, maybe four banjo based versions, including the first version I ever heard, by the Firehouse Five; three guitar based versions (including Les Paul & Mary Ford;) no less than three variations by the Benny Goodman Quartet, one of them plus Lionel Hampton and at least two, quite different, variations by Paolo and Stephanie and I love them both. Now I will have to add another.

Like the replacement of whites by a black population in say Europe so the undoubted talents of Stephanie Trick is being diminished by playing like this. Paulo is a good pianist but he ought to take a secondary role to Stephanie. Probably the two touring together is socially more congenial and possibly both players are musically more content but STRIDE , the undoubted appeal of Stephanie is being reduced. I am not PC so dont bother telling what I already know !
