Ty for that more detailed topic about how more trendy japanese ceremonies unfurl. It agreably shows yhe pleasant ambiance and demonstrates how usages can be tangled,and muster in a federating standard,practicable by a great majority.However, In cae of wedding,i'm happy to not be considered as a too much ancient friends of your livelihood,because otherwise, in the current times,my ticket wouldv'e send right trough of bankrupcity and by the way,i would've needed the married housing me in rescue,lol! (😂😉).But if you're convicted to a french made wedding,normally, you should be welcome, and normally without parking ticket,because the married are supposed to be the "Rich,Noble and Generous Lords" hosting the ceremony.)😅😋.By this way,allow me to salute you and whose seem like to be your close family(Wife and Son).Pleased to understand that your spouse goes better,after her health disconvenues and now seems even more fresh,Language talented, plus "balanced , honorable and valuable presence breathing than before.Good continuation to you and initiatives.This time for a wedding, maybe another for a potential and beneficient future merger.😉🙏🏾🙂.

@iamlinda100
@iamlinda100 Жыл бұрын
@@Coachizz-rf1kw as beautiful as Japanese weddings can be, I agree that it seems very formal and corporate, there are so many rules that must be followed in japanese weddings and that can often take some of the fun out of the day, and no dancing? what? Who doesn't want to dance at a wedding? Apparently Japanese people. Also Image and reputation are so important in Japan, out of the many rules that need to be followed in a Japanese wedding I think the custom of everyone in attendance must give the bride and groom alot of money in cash is the one I'm most annoyed with. I don't think I can afford to attend a Japanese wedding if I have to give at least $225 and much more if I'm a family member? No way. I prefer weddings in other countries where there's much more freedom and the bride & groom basically can plan whatever wedding they want and do whatever they want & the guests don't have to give presents & everyone can just have a good time. Like I said Japanese weddings just seems so formal with so many strict rules.
@shogunshogun
@shogunshogun Жыл бұрын
@@iamlinda100 Every wedding is formal with strict rules--even though some weddings seem chaotic, there is order in the apparent chaos that is strictly enforced within a culture. For example, some weddings have dancing as part of the form, while others don't. Furthermore, $225 is cheap in comparison to what the Bride and Groom pay for every guests' transportation, hotel, food and drink, and gifts. That is a reason why only invited guest (not even their spouse can join, typically) attend a wedding--everything is planned out in advance. And that is another example of form (who can attend and what are their roles and responsibilities)

I’ve been to many weddings in the states and one time I got invited to Japan for a wedding. I was so surprised how everyone dressed very formal. I feel like in the states, not everyone wears a suit or tuxedos, but most men at the wedding wore tuxedo and some in suits. On top of that, the meal was phenomenal! It was a French course meal with the finest quality ingredients and meat from different parts of Japan. Japan just do things at a different level, I was so impressed.

My son, a Black American married his longtime JAPANESE girlfriend years ago in a very, at the beginning traditional ceremony-at a historic registered temple in northeast Japan followed by 6 wardrobe changes by the bride, to a very modern ending reception celebration. It was quite a cultural learning experience. And, even though I do not speak Japanese I could easily figure out the activities including at the temple. Truly unforgettable wonderful experience. Oh, and yes, for couples with children, a small crib was available at the reception. And, because I jumped up and started dancing (though my son told me not to do this), everybody, especially the older guests also joined me 😂 when the music piped in began playing top tunes of the day. Thank you for this video!

It was always a beautiful event, especially for those who had traditional Japanese ceremonies ahead of more western ones. While the ceremony was private for family, seeing them in their kimono before they changes into a western style dress was amazing - I still have the hikidemono after nearly 30 years.

This reminds me of some of the more formal/proper Filipino weddings I've attended, which is more Western, but with a distinctly Asian touch. They do have a videographer doing a live edit for an ending reel, and having things run on time with a wedding coordinator ensuring things are served on time and events happen on time. Similarly, the family greetings and placements, although the immediate families are sat together on a large table, signifying the union via the bride and groom. As for attire, practically everyone should be dressed in barongs or mestiza dresses, with exceptions being made for foreign friends who might not have spent money just for a cultural dress. All that said, I have to appreciate the extreme efficiency of a Japanese wedding. It tends to go by much faster and the cash gifts make it much simpler for everyone involved.

I LOVE the black kimono's the mother's wear for the wedding - they are like top notch and the ones I saw in person were embroidered at the bottom - tastefully with silver or golden trees and birds. Sooo nice.

Got married in Japan with a 'relatively' Japanese style wedding. The planning and support from the hotel is amazing, and everyhing is planned for and accounted for. The cost of the wedding is on a crazy level though. Two interesting points (that were interesting to me) that Paolo didnt touch on 1. Dress/Kimono rentals for the bride are crazy expensive. Just renting a kimono for the wedding can cost thousands of dollars. 2. The wedding cakes in Japan are often fake! The big fancy cake we see in western weddings is presented in Japanese weddings but its fake. They actually have pre-sliced cake pieces in the kichen to be served afte ryou 'cut' the cake.

So they will never actually purchase the dress/kimono? It makes a lot of sense but shame about the price. My dress is sat in my wardrobe and I don't know what to do with it. I don't particularly care about keeping it for sentimental reasons but I've tried to sell it and it isn't going anywhere haha

@@sbo3 Yeah. The Kimonos used are very high quality and incredibly expensive. I have heard that the rentals would cost $20k and up to purchase (hand embroidered etc)

What a shame. I am so tired of seeing every bride walking down the aisle in a strapless white dress.

What happens if you’re invited to a Japanese wedding but you don’t have the money that’s expected for the gift? Do you just don’t go? 🤷‍♀️

It seems they are very strict on following the rules. Paolo mentioned in the video if certain things are not done you make the family look bad and it is considered rude.
