LittleRubberSquare a lot of people do both. My family has a shinto temple so naturally my uncle and his wife did the traditional wedding, and afterwards they did a american styled wedding party where they cut th e cake together and all that stuff. I guess the traditional wedding is the actual part where they marry and the american style one is more of a party where you celebrate the marriage with lots of food and speeches and stuff.

Cassie Stoddard basically she is saying that she also had her wedding in japanese style like this one. She never thought of having it at a chapel. These days, people prefer to NOT wear the Katsura (the wig) and the cotton hat anymore, instead they have a huge hair accessory on but she still chose to have it the old traditional way exactly in the video. Her house was affected by the huge earthquake in 2011 and she lost all of her childhood memories but her wedding was the first happiest thing that has happened ever since the tragic disaster and that she is very glad and feels blessed that she got to experience one of the beautiful occasion in life
