I am from Malaysia and I love indian weddings ... so colourful setting and costumes: the whole atmosphere is so vibrant due to the colour and loud traditional musical instruments eg tabla, mridangam , Indian trumpet ( dunno the name): the customary stuff like feeding each other, tying the toes of both and walking around the colourful kolam.. ... thereafter the Indian and bangla dances.... loving it and there is so much life in it...

@@user-ef1qy9zq1g money never obsolute. Wedding is just narsistic contract to goverment where the risk is too big for male if your soulmate want to divorce you. You would lost almost anything. Money not marriage the make all of those success. Without wedding/marriage or wife if you want to adopt children you can give them all education in the world. Today wedding is no benefit. A lot of the sacred system of marriage where old people believe before are outdate. Divorcing is new normal. Some research kids are the most affected. Divorcing affect happened because of marriage bounding psychology. If marriage there is correction to get richer husband. Sorry today man don't want to be plantation slave just to provide parasit. And they can risk lost anything because of court more favorite women at divorcing.

LittleRubberSquare a lot of people do both. My family has a shinto temple so naturally my uncle and his wife did the traditional wedding, and afterwards they did a american styled wedding party where they cut th e cake together and all that stuff. I guess the traditional wedding is the actual part where they marry and the american style one is more of a party where you celebrate the marriage with lots of food and speeches and stuff.

Simple and Beautiful!!! I love how it really is about the union of 2 people, their families and the spirit...and not about showing off to a bunch of people, that u may never see again.

Your Japanese ceremony was on December 3rd? My birthday is December 2nd. That was such a beautiful ceremony. You said the traditional ceremonies are getting more popular. I really hope so. I can understand how a western wedding would be popular with the younger generation and maybe seem more modern. But I hope that today's generation would rediscover and find a new appreciation for their culture so that such beautiful and uniquely Japanese traditions like this never die.
