I actually tried extremely hard to get the figure he's making. Sold out extremely quick on the Japanese website and I don't think it ever came to the international one. Truly disappointing but it's awesome to see how these pretty dolls and figures are made!

There is absolutely no reason. Once you have an original sculpt, you can make high quality mould and do resin follow up. Painting is tricky, but the amount of paint used is abysmally small. If they made custom figurine from premium materials like polystone, marble and stone, and applied hand brushing each time - that would warrant the price but would also provide for serial differences due to nature of handcrafted items - they will have small kinks and varieties. Mould allows you to remake the shape fast with low production costs. And utilizing partitioning machines can apply color precisely. But now they cost tons because its simply a niche hobby and they want to milk us for our love of franchises. Fact

i actually eat like him because light meal and snacks are preferable to get a job done with more focus during the day. ice cream is great since it still contains sugar for carbos and are relieving esp. in hot season. eating full meal during morning and lunch just makes me sleepy and making the brain kinda soggy, makes me afraid i wont get any details on my work right being in such state. so yeah i relate to him alot.

Actually it might be because cost of living is very high in Japan. Each meal in tokyo could cost minimally 800 yen.

@@syarifaamaliamarwadinata5623 that is true. It's a personal system preference if i could've been more specific. Without a proper meal in the morning, I feel empty and unfocused. On top of that it affects me with drastic weight loss in the long term. Therefore i try to get myself a healthy and not so heavy meal for the early hours of waking up.

A lot of cooks do this too, we don't eat breakfast or during shift and have a single meal at the end of the day (usually take out/instant ramen, I lack the will to do dishes when I get home). On the few short stretches where I have more than one meal a day I always feel more tired throughout the day and hungry as well.

This isn't a job I would want in the long run On my free time. I'm writing a comic book. I used to make them as a kid. Always had fun doing that. Might as well see how that goes. Nothing might not come from it but at least I'm enjoying myself

It's relieving to see that the work environment in these younger companies more relaxed compared to some of the more traditional style Japanese companies. The employees here seems to have a healthier work life balance than an average Japanese salaryman.

I have a similar diet (although I prefer vegetables). Yesterday I just had a bit of bread for lunch and noodles with a salad for dinner. If you are not that big and not doing extensive manual labour you can live with around 2000 calories a day. Atleast that is what I am doing.

I feel kinda defeated not having had access to this information even just a few years earlier…well better knowing now than never I support. Literally every single thing in our lives has people behind it making it possible, and that thought blows my mind each and every time. From the dye in our foods that we aren’t aware of, to the fonts we use when typing, to the design of every single part of public life and private life.

I'm currently teaching in a school for deaf kids as a teacher of English, it's a full time job. I love my job, but the salary is so low that I can't make a living with it. Third world countries issues are real...If your job allows you to support yourself and your family, then I hope you have a better appreciation for it after reading my comment.

Well, imagine that you studied character creation and makeup for movies like the boy with colored hair and that you used and studied that same program (Blender) and make renders in your free time as in my case BUT it is useless because you live in a small Spanish town with few possibilities and people pressure you to be useful to society and you work washing dirty heads in a hairdresser with studies of characterization and FX. I want to die watching this

I saw this video when I was around 16 and it really stuck with me for some reason. Now I am attending my first year in Industrial Design and came back to see this video because I suddenly remembered it. I mean, it's easier to have a load of mangas in a small apartment than figures. Also, he already makes them where he works so a bunch of them are displayed there. There's nothing wrong with putting on skincare either, but you're right about putting more effort into his diet. It can cause severe health problems later on in his life.

Do you have a ventilation system like his? I think it's a good idea. The artist who was using an airgun to spraypaint that figure - his hand was shaking. I kept thinking the poor guy's probably got brain damage, lung damage, nerve damage. There should be strict rules about ventilators and wearing PPE for a job like that.

It'd probably be very hard, and even if he does, there is a good chance he'll need to wait several months if he does, unless he manages to get something a bit smaller profile like voice acting for an advertisement. Full anime would be a long wait, considering how much that industry wants to keep things private.
