Oh my gosh this so strange but I’m literally in this video! The girl turning around and doing a double take at 4:00 is me 😅 never thought I’d make it in the video though! Talked to Paolo shortly after and he was super super nice to me (and then I had to call my mum and freak out about it ahahah). Been a fan for many years so it was a lovely coincidence 😊 Definitely agree that mid-October is a great time to visit Arashiyama if you’re interested! 皆さん是非行ってみてください😊 パオロさん、親切にしてくださってありがとうございました、楽しかったです!

I wish I knew this sooner. I was actually in Arashiyama today. Hiked up all the way to Otagi Nenbutsu-ji. I couldn’t find anything that would be anything different than what Kyoto city already has. I might have to hit these shops up next week. I never got to explore the rest of Arishayama. Thanks for sharing this.

00:26 🌸 Arashiyama in Kyoto is a scenic area known for its street food, attracting Japanese families and couples alike. 01:18 🍢 "Yuba cheese skewers" from Yuba Cheese Hompo, a 70-year-old shop, offer kid and Halal-friendly options. 02:13 🧀 The Yuba and cheese skewer has a crispy outer shell and a melty cheese center, making it a delicious combination. 03:17 🌶 The fish cake with leak and spice from Yuba Cheese Hompo offers a nice blend of sweetness and mild spiciness. 04:16 🍡 Terra Coya Hoo offers unique "Dongo" flavors, including Yogi Dango, Yaki imemo Dango, and Hanami Dango. 05:33 🍠 The roasted sweet potato Dongo has a natural sweetness without being overly sugary, offering a delicious treat. 06:47 🌿 "Yogi Dango" with wormwood flavor provides a balanced taste with a blend of wormwood and anko (sweet red bean paste). 08:03 🍮 Fukushi offers unique puddings with white bean paste and Kyoto specialty ingredients, including strawberry and candied green beans. 09:55 🌸 The strawberry pudding from Fukushi has a strong strawberry flavor with a textured, less smooth consistency. 11:52 🍦 Shinachi Cha offers Italian gelato infused with Japanese flavors, such as Sakura Mochi and tofu. 12:46 🍨 The tofu-flavored gelato from Shinachi Cha has a sweet, tofu-like taste and can be enhanced with soy sauce for a unique twist. 13:59 🌶 Brother Tofu specializes in Maad Fu with silky smooth Kyoto tofu, offering a spicy meat bun with succulent meat and a fluffy, moist bun. 15:10 🌶 The Maad Fu from Brother Tofu is flavorful, with a blend of spiciness, sweetness, and texture. Adding homemade chili oil and peppers enhances the dish.

Arashiyama is a new family favorite place to go on vacations to Kyoto! What we did was a great day trip idea. Take the train to Kameoka, and after a short walk ge tto the small port for the Hozugawa River Boat Ride. A very fun time and you see so many beautiful sights in the spring. I went in the winter which, while a lot more brown, was still chill and a fun time. Also the boat was mostly empty, so the kind boat paddlers (the younger guys of which were super funny and energetic) let me try rowing the boat! Was a great time and it drops you right at Arashiyama to go enjoy steeet food and the Bamboo Forest.

Always loved these reviews. I pause the video over and over and make notes for future travel plans to these wonderful city’s. Travel is fun but we have to eat and if you do not know where to grab the foods you will enjoy, it can take away large portions of your site seeing trying to find food for a small group of family members. Trying new things is always part of traveling in another country but if it is too extreme for your group it can feel like a waste of money and no one feels like they ate anything. Watching these reviews gives people the ability to plan the meals so that you can try these new foods but you show us in great detail what we can expect and today I realized that you also put the description of the foods in western terms we can clearly understand. Texture like mashed potato’s. Perfect. Also Wolfy is extremely helpful in giving us his reviews as well. Big thumbs up on the rice ball toppings. I’m glad he is included in making some of your videos. And we also appreciate the camera girl Maiko and her input when y’all (southern term) decide to have her help with reviews of more adult foods that Wolfy may not care for.

I am seeing people from America, Europe, Asia and all over the world which is quite amazing to me.
