Nah, the Ridge could not only match the speed (TJ) and shooting (Kenny Taylor and Daniel Ewing) but this team was bigger and more athletic than Yates... And Yates was elite. The Ridge had 2 All-American and 1 All-State kid, plus the bench was deep.. Yates best chance would be to slow the game down, because if they run, the Ridge might win by 15+ and that;s being generous.

Lol, stop it. Willowridge had 5 DI prospects, two McDonalds all Americans, 3 guys who played in the NBA on that team. They had the size(Ivan Mcfarlin was 6'8 and Curtis Walker was 6'9) speed, and Floor general in T.J. Ford. Yates wasn't fu*king with them. Yates was a good team and played in a system that took advantage of their athleticism but they weren't great individual players, I think only one guy from that team(Joe Young) played D1 basketball. Yates also had the benefit of being a 4A team and playing easier schedule, willowrige had to beat teams like Bellaire that had Emeka Okafor and John Lucas III and Compton Dominguez that had Tyson Chandler.
