I grew up in L.A. in the 80s and 90s. El Pollo Loco was one of my family's favorite Friday night (takeout night) dinner options.That was before they had all the fancy wraps and whatnot. Just the chicken, beans, rice, tortillas and other sides. It was always delicious. I've been on the East Coast for over 20 years now, and although we have lots of Peruvian rotisserie chicken places in my area, there are times I crave that flame-grilled chicken from El Pollo Loco. Glad to see their chicken still hits the spot.

I LOVE El Pollo Loco so much! The chipotle chicken avocado burrito is my jam. Love the salads with the cilantro dressing. Their avocado green salsa is bomb and their churros are really good too.

If it has salad in the name, it must be healthy haha Those bowls are made in fried bread. A "Caesar salad" was created in Mexico city (not Italy) and the dressing has so much fat in it plus the carbs of the croutons that it's no longer healthy either. Both are delicious, just being a buzz kill incase one of your annoying super health conscious friends wants to shove it in your face haha
