Another great tutorial for a game that few people truly understand! I think another tutorial that would be helpful is World Poker Tour. Often comes up in competition, and the rules, especially when it comes to maximizing scoring opportunities, are very obtuse. I'd also like to see Earthshaker, Sopranos, and Avengers covered. Stern tutorials are especially appreciated, since they're still in the wild, and most of them seem to have obscure methods for generating big scores.

I've been a huge Wheel of Fortune fan my whole life, and for a brief period, I did get to play the pinball version. In fact, not long after Stern released this in the fall of 2007, I made a recreation of the Wheel used in the game. But anyway, you're a far better player than I am at this thing. [chuckles] Nice playing, and I appreciate you showing me some tips, tricks, and other details.

Only things missing Bowen that I mentioned to Gary is there should have been a mode where player could choose the letter. I think would it have got a lot more women to play with the guys. It could have really been a fun and interesting game. They already have the code to select initials; how hard could it be to incorporate that to select a letter. I think I had you hit a player, Pat would say "I need a letter" then if you hit then N to select your own letter for a huge multiplier times the lit player's amount and it would spin again. If you hit the player a second time or another player before hitting the N, the game would play as normal and the computer player would pick. Then I said to Gary could release theme packs via USB which I would pay for. Sports, Pinball Only, History, etc.

How did you disable the contestant call outs when they introduce them?

Hey Bowen, what do the 6 awards do on the left side of the playfield. There are 6 lights in a pie shape in a circle, what do they do? You lit one of them. I think it's bonus wheel, but I didn't see how you triggered it. I heard Stern didn't finish the code for this game, is that true? The other two games from this era are Pat Lawler's CSI and Steve Ritchie's 24. Are these game codes finished or are the not complete also?

Yes, those inserts are the Bonus Wheel modes. You light one at the Buy a Vowel scoop by hitting all the main shots to spell "BONUS". CSI and 24 to me lack polish, but Wheel of Fortune is more incomplete. Missing wizard modes, ect. Still a fun game.

This might be the most naff theme ever for a wierd obscure game that has desperately low resale value in Aus (might be better if it was the Baby John Burgess's voice/bobblehead, but still rock bottom punter appeal) ...and yet.. I crave this game!!. they come up for sale pretty cheap compared to estimated US prices , but my biggest fear is i might never be able to move it when i need to swap it out...unless i sell it to the US hahaha

I feel this is one of Papa's weaker tutorials compared to others. I feel this tutorial was lacking on some basics for someone who has not stepped up to this table before. My complaint is things are referenced but not confirmed where they exactly are on a busy and blinking play field. At the beginning there is a reference to if a certain prize is on the wheel... like where. Where are you checking? Even early you say "Solve Puzzle" is lit... but many things are lit and flashing and then in multiball it gets solved. I guess I compare this tutorial to the Baywatch one I watched before and there just is a different approach. Instead of cradling ball and explaining what you are doing on Wheel of Fortune and where the target is, this tutorial just plays but a brand new player will not know what you are referring to and I think that is too bad because other tutorials make it so you can learn a table you have never stepped up to before. Still love PAPA tutorials, just disappointed that an extra minute or two was not spent explaining what everything was on the playfield that would be referenced in play later.

Why is this tutorial geared towards people that already know the basics rather than the 98% of people who've rarely played it? Did you go over the basics earlier then edit that game out? I know you can do good tutorials BK but this leaves me cold as a useful guide on how to play WOF from cold.

This!!! it is weird because PAPA tutorials are not consistent on if they cover the basics, and sometimes they do for a couple minutes and it is fantastic. SOmetimes they jump in and launch multiball and expect you know what the hell they are referencing yet have never covered. Like how/where do you check what prize is available "on a wheel". early on I knew this tutorial was not going to teach me this game with the method they choose
