Some of my male friends used to be lean when we were students. As soon as they got well-paid jobs, they gave up their "no money" diet and went on a "gonna try this and this" diet, so they put on a lot of weight and got a little chunky and round. My female friends, however, get slimmer and more attractive over time =) Thanks for the great lesson!

Since my birth, i was scrawny and people whoever met me, used to say "eat well". During my higher studies. i became further more scrawnier and skinny, as i had to stay out and go starving most of the times. After coming home, i went up size. i was so big and puffy. Now i'm fit after following diet, workout, yoga. My friends are quite impressed and asking about my diet plan and workout. I'm super proud. Thanks for your lessons :)

Last year I was not on a diet but I was exersicing a lot so in 6 months I put on 8 kilos, then I went on a diet in January this year and until now I lost 11 kilos. I went from 83kg to 72kg in 5 months. I definitaly prefer to maintain this shape I have now, it so much better! By the way, I usually use the expression so much better, I'd like you to teach us what circumstances we can use " much better or so much better" . Thanks a lot! Bye!

"Hench" is definitely a British word; Americans use the other terms, and also "buff." On the other side, we tend to use "obese" only if a person is severely overweight, to the point where it needs to be treated as a medical condition. Other fun terms we use are "big as a house," "circus fat," and of course "fatass," with the accent on the first syllable. It doesn't sound right with a British accent, however (fat-arse?).

Wow, that's cool. In portuguese the translation of fat is "gordo", and it can sounds a little offensive too, so we use very similar adjectives to not offend. In the case of "he is puffy", for example, we say "ele é fofo", and that's pretty much the same thing.
@hadassa685 жыл бұрын
Victor Müller In Spanish the translation for fat is “gordo” as well, and it’s not really offensive but you’d be in trouble if you call somebody “fofo”.
