Thank you. I will try your method of cutting the young taproot. I had much success planting papaya 3 years ago. They are all female with fruit. I planted the lighter grey seeds and not the blacker seeds. But after seeing your video I will plant all color seeds and see if it is a female tree much sooner than I thought and will just keep the females when I am sure. Thanks so much.

So sorry you lost your top of your tree. I've never heard of using the Papaya leaves. I had no idea a tree can turn make to female, I learn so much from youtubers. .

Does adding the ingridiants to the soil makes the plant female or just cutting the taproot that makes it female papaya

Basically creating some sort of stress makes the tree want to reproduce for further propagation is what I learnt from one of the online article. So how did you experiment turn out?

Good to know! Cutting the tap root was 100% successful in producing females if cut when young. Cutting the top off after they flowered didn't make any difference. So now I cut my plants tap roots when they're about 6 minutes and have several leaves

I have a dozen papaya trees not and every one is female. I have videos on the sinking seeds too. That just tells you the most viable, had nothing to do with the sex

@@backyardfarmerpat Sinking seeds is the second step..the first step is picking seeds facing the sun rise !! facing east...and cutting the lower side !! thats 100% female....

@KevoMazziwa how do you pick seeds from the tree? Do you mean pick fruit on the East side? Also, if someone gives you seeds or if you have seeds stored how do you know what side the seeds came from?

@@backyardfarmerpat Precisely,Pick seeds from the east side, pick seeds on the lower end of the fruit....put them on water ..sink them....Remove outer slimmy cover...Dry them ...

Who RUN the world GIRL’S even when it comes to fruit 🍌 🍎 🍉 I saw the same video about cutting the main root I also seen on on how to make them grow and produce faster by pinching off some of the lower leaves

Awesome. I do remove some of the lower leaves but didn't know it actually causes early production. Great to know. Have you tried it?

I am from INDIA and for me it works. And it also work to put two sticks perpendicular through the trunk but it has a proper technique and proper time period to to do it.And it is really a good method.Above mentioned two method is successful method, And if I can join photo here then you realize that both are successful. And I also want to inform you that no one can transfer a tree from male to female but with above all technique we artificially give pressure to a tree so that tree thought that they will die.So they produce fruit for their reproduction.
