Paper Angels - Full Movie

In “Paper Angels,” abused wife Lynn (Josie Bissett) leaves her alcoholic husband Darryl, taking her two kids, Thomas and Sara, and moving to another town where she works as a waitress to make ends meet. In that same town we meet Kevin (Matthew Settle), whose marketing & design company is on the brink of shutting down due to the economy. Plus, Kevin’s wife Jenny is in a difficult pregnancy with twins.
Thomas starts a new school and becomes the target of a bully who is threatened by how well Thomas plays basketball. Unable to join the high school team, Thomas goes to the community center where he meets Kevin and the two of them become unlikely friends through pickup basketball games. Little do they know the tremendous impact they will have on each others’ families this Christmas through The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program.
This film is inspired by the hit country Christmas song also featured in the movie “Paper Angels,” sung by country music star Jimmy Wayne, as well as the same-titled book by Wayne with Travis Thrasher. Wayne also has written and performed two new songs for the film.

What a great Christmas story, highlighting Spiritual lessons in a non-preachy way, pivoting around the new kid in High School and how he uses his intuition to win over a judgy student body. Wonderful actors who seemed real rather than polished. I could watch it over and over, learning something new each time.

it got a bit cheesy there. but over all good movie. tho most kids who end up that badly bullied... end up going columbine. 😟😔 the bully guy didnt deserve expensive sneakers. smh. ya like thats gonna make it all better and the bully to just change over a few seconds. like he said "they dont want him". ppl like that hardly ever turn over a new leaf.

@@ssppeeaarr I think you miss the point, mate. It is an uncomfortable situation for anyone receive kindness, when they know it's undeserved. However, being kind to the bully made him address his behaviour. Knowing that he didn't deserve it, the bully was ready to reject that kindness, but he eventually relented and thanked him. The plan worked.

This movie just goes to Show us to do good to those who wrong us. Cause, truly it really does feel good on the inside.
