I've been struggling with anxiety over whether or not I should get rid of my old diaries. They have a lot of negative memories in them and reading them just makes me cringe. It's nice to know that I can give them new life in this way and still continue to journal. Thanks for this.

This is so great! It brought back memories of my 4th grade science class (Mr. Murphy) and he showed us how to do this. It was very fun. I haven’t done it since then so I’m going to give it a go.

Niamh - I am soooo excited! I actually bought a used blender from a charity store years ago for this exact purpose and you gave me the shove I needed to just do it finally! I LOOOOOOOVE how it turned out! One of my sheets went wonky - so I took the pulp out and lined a fluted dish with it which I shall use as a St Patrick’s gift basket. I used green flecks in the paper too. I have soooo many ideas and can’t wait to make another batch! The Tennessee summer will be brilliant for this because it will dry instantly!

Wonderful ! I never thought that making paper had so much work involved. Not to mention the electricity used in whisking the wet paper and the ironing. Above all ,the wood from the trees. We really should respect and take care of our environment. This gives so much peace when one practices mindfulness in everything surrounding else. Can we make paper from shredded paper in any old fashion way. I feel maybe air drying in the sun can be one of them.

Great idea, I am going to try putting seeds (california poppies) and some dried flower petals in my paper.. Once dry I think I might try cutting circles to fit standard pots and use them as gifts that people can pot up. I won't iron the paper as the heat might kill the seeds. I will see if it will work.

@@therealjunkfoodprojectglas3192 make your paper quite thick to hold the seeds and try not to soak the seeds too long. I gathered the mush paper then sprinkled the seeds then more paper. the seeds that soaked too long didn't germinate but the poppies did.

Oh it'd probably make fantastic watercolour paper. Starting out in watercolour can be very expensive. Good quality paper can be costly especially considering shipping etc. This would be amazing for someone to try out on in the beginning.
