Paper Grain Direction - Explained

Hello everyone, today I will explain paper grain direction.
Paper grain direction is a very basic and important thing to understand as bookbinders, printers, designers or anyone who works with paper and wants to create books and boxes, because every material we are going to use needs to be in the right grain direction. Parallel to the spine.
When you buy paper you will find the term long grain or short grain sometimes written as LG or SG
Long grain means the grain of the paper is from top to bottom running along the long side
Short grain means the grain of the paper is along the short side.
