Paper Jam Error But No Paper Inside!/ Shadow Printing/Solved / Canon Pixma ts 3140

Try to clean the belt inside the encoder film ,if it's contaminated with ink residues, the p03 Error will pop up a d you can not print until you resolve the problem.
It can also causes a shadow printing issue if the belt is dirty.
If the printer still shows p03 code then disconnect the power cord and wait for 30 min to reset the Error message and you should be fine.
If not . You may have a mechanical problem that needs a repair .

Thank you Mr Gloves for that tutorial. Looks like your Canon is working for now. I've had mine 2 months and half the time when I need to print it codes "paper jam" or " pull out the f'in paper tray"....I even researched this printer before purchase. I think it will work best after I take it out to my gravel driveway and give it a couple good roll overs with my truck tires......I don't think I'll see any more paper jams. Does any one make reliable printers in a throw away society? These companies need to act responsibly and we should be able to sue them for WASTING OUR TIME AND $!

Sometimes, changing the printer cartridges also work. Specially if they were showing "low ink" or they are old printer cartridges (2 years~) or it's winter time.

awesome! Did it just now with a TS8350. Didn't actually used alcohol, just a slightly damp cloth and wiped the cable. The message - 'paper jam' didn't never returned back - just asking for paper to be inserted @ rear. Printing perfectly now. Thanks a million!

God bless you. The encoder film has it all, also I cleaned the carriage unit passage where the encoder film gets through since it was smeared with grease.

Oh inkcartridges work for 5 years? From what I heard, if you leave the cartridges in there, they block the print heads (dried ink). If so, it'd require printhead cleaning. Not sure if it's easy though.

My Canon G2000 Printer gives a 2 blinking light problem. I have tried resetting the printer but I cannot go beyond that as the printer's carriage just bangs very hard left and right and stops. Then the blinking light comes on again. I have cleaned everything that needs cleaning up, I have also changed the ink absorber but the problem still persists. What else can I do besides dumping the printer as trash?

Make sure the encoder strip is threaded in the thin rectangular slot in the back of Ink cartridges. This specific area needs a nice cleaning, if there is no contact between these two pieces, you're not gonna be able to get rid of those hard bangs of the printer's heads. Take your time and verify it well using a mirror and back light to see what's going on there. Good luck.

You should take off some screws and open the printer to be able to put back the belt on the motor and it should be ok .

Only one thing wrong with this video. You should have shown us the problem NOW so we could SEE the error as it occured. For all we know you're just showing us what to do IF the error occurs! We need to see the problem then the solution in real time. However, Nice video, just hope it works on my Canon pixma mg3050 which appears similar. I cannot find ANYTHING for my printer with the same error.
