I use the windows version so I can't speak to the other platforms, but I found an issue where the program seemingly 'locks up': every function works with the exception of the Save key. This happens when you start to put something into the Park Number field and then backspace to erase it. The program is expecting you complete the park number so it can validate it. But instead you get caught in a loop and can't save. I've found that if you put in a dummy park like K-0000 you can overcome this bug, save the record, and then go back and edit out the dummy information. Great video , keep up the good work.

That was the same issue I was having with the iOS version, I will try to put in a dummy park next time and see how that responds. I am not an expert in programming, but I believe the program is the same code for all platforms. It is wrapped in a virtual app that is the interface between the application code and the OS. That way the look, feel, and operation of the application is the same between all platforms.

@@GraymanPOTA Watching you log in the video, I had a feeling that was the issue. I was sensing the same frustrations. It took a bit of field troubleshooting to figure that problem out. I love Hamrs for its simplicity, but it is starting to stagnate. I know that 'life gets in the way' and personal projects need to take a back burner. My only wish is for the app to be rock solid and do what it does really well, and not try to add a bunch of bells and whistles.

@@KB9VBRAntennas I echo your sentiment. I love the program for the simplicity and portability of it. I did wish there was a simple way to automagically capture FT8 and other digital contacts.

I know what you are saying. I got a bit giddy when I heard @KB9VBRAntennas on the air for the first time last week. I bought my first VHF/UHF antenna from him almost 10 years ago and I have been watching his videos ever since.

I'm getting my gear together for a Saturday morning activation (1230 UTC +/-) at Govt Canyon, K-3503. I'm going to be using the vertical whip with my TR-25 QRP rig, a 3Ah LIFEPO4 battery, and RG-316 coax. The antenna works great with the FT-891, so I am hoping for a good operation with the TR-25. I always have used an "old school" Composition Book as a logbook. Wide lines. Nice paper. I use a #2 pencil. I transcribe it into HAMRS when I get back home. I am a recent subscriber, and I want to thank you for your videos. Great work! 73 de David AE4LH

Simple fix. TURN OFF THE LOOKUPS so when you lose the cell signal, you can still use it just fine.

I hear you, but that was an urban park and I had 5G UW access. I don’t think that the problem was a lack of connectivity.

When you use the paper log do you put the time of the contact in your paper log? I have found a lot of contacts want conformation on QRZ. The last time I was at K-10274 I had my laptop on the entire time five hours mor or less and the battery went to low power. My 40amh battery was only down 25% I could use an idea to keep my lap top running longer. WQ9V

Not for every QSO. I will try to get the time jotted down every 3 or 4 QSOs if I am running them quickly. I tend to record every activation just so I can go back and listen to a QSO in case I copied a callsign wrong,

That is not a bad idea. I had a hard time reading my chicken scratch when I was transferring the contacts over from the paper log to upload to the POTA site.
