1. Why’d you say secret superboss if you were just gonna namedrop him later in the message anyway 2. It’s not time-based, but rather based on the specific area you’re in I believe. Yes, you need to get Jolene’s message first, but I believe after that you just have to go to the port area of Rogueport and it should show up. Either that or somewhere else in Rogueport, but regardless it shows up on entering a specific area just like every other email Mario gets.

Legitimately, the final battle made me cry so hard. Seeing and hearing all the people we met and helped on your adventure cheer you on in your time of need is so touching, sweet, and powerful. It's the same way I felt when playing Okami. And then after the emotion of the world in need, everything went back to headbanging awesomeness with the true final boss! It was fucking AMAZING! Again, same way I felt when playing Okami.

12:12 little late to deliver this information, but when using power lift, i learned that once you get level 4 in one stat, if you don't pick up any more arrows for that stat you pretty much guarantee level 4 for the opposite stat... my guess is that every arrow shortens an invisible timer, which is why you level 4 for both stats despite hitting a poison mushroom

A fantastic remake. Probably one of the best remakes I've ever played, and it's a remake of one of my favorite games of all time. While there are a few extremely minor things that bother me (Power Bounce nerf why) it's still amazing, and a great way of introducing and showing new players why the early Paper Mario games are so well received. The new content, while small, also shows that they are capable of making interesting fights that use the original battle system. Just please don't let this be a one time thing. Please.

Shadow Queen actually gave me a lot of trouble in my playthrough. I was doing a 10HP run and relied on Defense Plus and Damage Dodge to boost my defense (and evasion badges for good measure), but her magic attacks pierced all my defense. Ended up using 2-3 Life Shrooms

09:49 - "Why would it give you a Fire Flower now?" Answer: Grodus X. At the start of the battle, Grodus will summon four of these buggers, which is the max amount he can have. They have 3 HP each and an Attack of 4. For each Grodus X on screen, Grodus's Defense goes up by 1. But when he has 4 of them, they create a barrier that makes him invulnerable. Also, you'll get attacked by these things in addition to Grodus himself attacking. That's 23 damage in one turn if you don't Superguard. But just getting rid of them isn't enough. Grodus will summon two at the end of each turn. The first time I fought Grodus, I BARELY won... only to then get curbstomped by Bowser and Kammy immediately afterwards. Needless to say, it's a trick boss if you're not prepared.

Oh thank god they fixed it! Fixed what you may ask? King K of course! In the original game during the segment where the crystal stars return to where you got them and everyone cheers you on, they messed up the glitz pit one and put the Blue Koopa there instead of King K with what was clearly King K’s dialogue. They fixed it in the remake!
